Thread: What did they have in common?

Just bought a new--to me--book. What did Jersey Joe Walcott, Tommy Gibbons and Bob Foster have in common outside the ring?

They were all in the police force,in one position or another,is that correct ?
the only one i know for sure was Bob Foster.

You right. In 1972, Walcott became sheriff of Camden, New Jersey.
Upon retirement, Tommy Gibbons, served four terms as sheriff of St. Paul, Minnesota.
After he retired, Foster began a lengthy career in law enforcement. I assume in New Mexico but they didn't say where in the book.

Jersey Joe Walcott was the ref for the Ali v Liston second fight.
