*In recent years, there's really not many cuz eveyone goes thru the Klitsko bro's, and they've pretty much dominated everyone... and not in highlight fashion.... BUT , i bet there couldve been great fights made had the Klits not been in the equation... that may be the real question.

I think u captured all the real heavyweight fights... the two that stand out are Ike Ibeabuchi vs Tua...and Vitali vs Lennox...
*Ibeabuchi vs Tua was such a war... two guys at their peak going at it ... and i don't think it was even for a title. Two guys that would thrive in any area of boxing... and really, if u think about it... these two could be the real underachievers of heavyweight div hx. Buchi would go to jail..and go alittle crazy from what i remember... Tua would have problems staying in shape after that Lennox loss and was really never in peak form..although he did show that mighty power from time to time. two all time greats that never became all time greats...
*Vitali vs Lennox was just soooo brutal... and without fanfare. Lennox had been training for another fighter, that one fell thru and they put Vitali in... the result was a classic. the beatings they gave eachother was like no other in heavyweight history... when u add up the ko's both had, and their size and stature..the power of their respective right hands... it's the hardest punches every thrown in a fight... and they kept coming at each-other. Lennox would retire after that fight to never fight again, Vitali hasn't lost since... if u call that a loss.

as far as asswhuppins...Vitali vs Corrie Sanders was sooo brutal... in case u guys forgot, take a look at it again...Corrie takes sooo much punshment. Vitali was on a rampage. what a statememnt.

the fight that"s missing is Wlad vs the nigerian nightmare... i can't remember the nightmares name right now, but he was at his peak in their first meeting...and it was a good one.

That Tua/Ike fight was something else. You would have to go back to the fights to the finish to get those kinds of punch numbers. Those are all pretty good. Here is a few more.

    Foreman/Lyle

    Bowe/Holy 1

    Moorer/Cooper

Tyson/Razor1. Should not have been stopped

    Tyson/Douglas

    Holy/Dokes

    Holmes/Norton

I know it's not up there with the best but Povetkin v Huck was really enjoyable. Neither fighter is amazing but together they put on a thoroughly engaging contest.

Anyone who hasn't seen Michael Moorer vs. Bert Cooper should youtube it as soon as they get a chance.

It is the best heavyweight slugfest in history in my opinion, eclipsing even Ron Lyle vs. George Foreman for excitement.
