That's the logic a lot of people come up with, but I don't think it applies. Mike has no problem slamming himself personally and shitting on himself because everyone knows he was a shit person. That cat was let out of the bag a long time ago.
I finished his book a few weeks ago, and while he certainly paints himself as a piece of shit motherfucker outside the ring, whenever he talks about himself a boxer it's always with great pride. As ashamed as he is of his clusterfuck of a life, he's still very proud of his boxing career IMO (as well he should be, he was one of the biggest superstars in boxing history and the GREATEST heavyweight puncher of all time). So while he's quick to discredit himself as a person, I don't think that necessarily means he would be quick to discredit himself as a boxer. Two different things.
Nobody is 100% honest about everything. People can be 100% honest about one subject and very secretive and guarded about the others.
I'm not saying Mike did steroids, but if you don't think it's a possibility you're gullible as fuck.
