It will be Ward likely but I do not want to see that fight

    STIEGLITZ

Why isn't Stieglitz ever mentioned in the same sentence as Froch? I know Froch isn't ranked highly by the WBO or the WBC but still.

Froch should look elsewhere from Ward no shame losing to Andre.

Aim for Stieglitz then whoever has the currently vacant WBC title.

Try and finish his career by unifying the division?

    Unlikely but I can wish.

Hopkins. Can come to England, play the pantomime bad guy and get people interested in watching the fightOutside of hardcore fans who'll be watching anyway the target market - potential Sky PPV customers - won't be too familiar with Hopkins so his potential for spoiling/boring people to death won't count too much against him. He's definitely in the running.

Kessler. If he doesn't retire he could fight Stieglitz next, get a win and a belt again then rematch Froch for a final huge payday. If it happens I think Froch stops him late. I don't think an immediate trilogy fight would sell well. If Froch fights say Ward or Hopkins next even if he loses to Ward the trilogy fight is still viable and if Kessler has a belt and is coming off a win it helps sell the fight a lot. But will Sauerland want to give up the WBO belt when they can have a moneyspinning Stieglitz-Abraham trilogy fight and still control the winner?

Ward will come over and fight provided he gets paid what he feels is right. I'm pretty sure Kessler got 55 or 60% of the split for last night's fight. Ward would want the same kind of deal. I think Froch would put up a better performance than last time but still lose and he knows it. It's a massive money fight again for Froch though, potential Sky PPV punters won't have seen much of Ward outside highlight clips (on which everybody looks good) and will be sold on him being a pound for pound top two or three guy and Froch saying he'll get revenge.

Last night was a successful return to PPV for Sky. They won't want their next PPV fight to be a dud so they can keep doing them. That'll have a lot of bearing on who Froch fights next as it's Sky who are bringing the money for these fights, not casinos or US TV. I think they'd like Ward followed by Kessler but hey, Ward might not get offered what he wants and Kessler might retire. But I'm pretty sure that's what Sky would like to show.

It's just a shame there aren't better options for Sky/Froch than two of the worst fighters to sell/watch in Hopkins/Ward. But it'll be Ward, Hopkins or Kessler next for Froch. Definitely a big PPVable name, Froch is only going to want big money fights for as long as he has left.

Ward wants the fight, he even had a go at Hopkins last night saying "I see what Hopkins is trying to do" in regard to trying to steal the next Froch fight.

End of the day Froch has 2 belts.

He should walk into the room slam the belts on the table, offer his home town Nottingham as the venue, and less than 50% split to Ward and tell Ward take it or leave it.

Wards not gonna find a better fight, not many people enjoy watching him, plus 40% of a Froch fight would be more than 80% of any other fight he'll get.

Froch should bully Ward and if he says no, fight Hopkins.

Hearn will start negotiations with Ward and Hopkins at the same time. He probably will start at offering both guys 40%. A lot depends on how many PPV sales last night did. The more it did, the keener Ward/Hopkins will be to make a deal and the easier it'll be to make a deal.

Ward isn't coming to England. He was talking about filling Wembley stadium. So that tells you how much money he wants, fantasy stuff. Plus during his HBO comms he mentioned home advantage about a billion times.

Virgil Hunter called it a draw so they are already trying to downplay Froch's value. Ward always looks like he is about to burst out crying but I thought Hunter might not have been so petulant.

I would like to see Ward man up and head to England but I doubt that would happen. I think him and Dawson could be interesting. You know for shits and giggles why not Chavez Junior in England I bet it would sell out and be a decent payday for both.

The fighter with the biggest name makes more money. Ward is not widely known. Hopkins is which means a ton of money. At 35 he's not going to be on top forever. He needs fat pay days sooner rather than later. After that I would fight Bute in Canada then Kessler. By this time Ward would be on T.V. more and more making name for himself.

Carl Froch VS Gennady Golovkin in London.

That would be one hell if a barn burner. I could see Froch giving GGG his first loss.

    No shit...

Golovkin is a middleweight. Abraham was a good middleweight but just isnt strong enought to deal with the bigger boys.

Rematch with Kessler and finish him off. There is no way Carl can beat Ward but after Kessler he should then try Ward. If Carl fought Hopkins and lost, which he could do because of B hop style then Joe Galzaghe will be laughing at him.

A fight with Ward seems pretty pointless to me no matter where they hold it. Ward is in a different class and has already beaten Froch very convincingly. Froch did well tonight, but anyone who thinks he could give Ward a serious fight is getting carried away.

To be honest I'd love to see him fight Kessler again on neutral ground, perhaps in the US.
Now there is a pointless fight. It's obvious Kessler is not what he was-due to inactivity, lost desire or whatever-unless your goal is to put money in Froch's pocket
After last night's epic and with one win each, you think Froch v Kessler 3 is pointless?

That's some strange logic. The Ward fight is utterly pointless unless you have a desire to see Froch easily beaten and his belts taken off him.

I don't want to see a Froch-Kessler 3. I have too much respect for them both to want to see either of them get seriously hurt. Neither of them have anything to prove against each other.

What about Barrera v Morales, Gatti v Ward, Marquez v Vasquez, Marquez v Pacquiao, Ali v Frazier etc.

Plenty of fights there purely because they were good match ups rather than any relevance on the world scene.

Wow, never thought about this one. I change my vote. This is the fight I want to see! Golovkin is no Abraham. Abraham was almost purely power and will. Golovkin's power overrides his skill but he does have skill. He knows how to get his punches in there and if he can carry that scary power up a weight class...Ward might even be in trouble. Against the upper echelon at 168 Golovkin wouldn't just be a puncher's chance type. He has the skill to land his punches and get to his opponent. But he is not a big middleweight so we would have to see how his power is up there because I think he would need to be the stronger fighter to keep Froch honest.
