Default Kessler claims he peaked too early for the Froch fight.

I've just seen a video on livefight and Kessler has said that he peaked 2 weeks too early for the fight and that he was very tired when he sparred with Cleverly. He claims he didn't have enough energy for the Froch fight and his punch output was very low.

What do you think about this? This is the first I've heard since the loss from Kessler. Is he done now?

    Mmmm.

No matter what kessler turned up. Froch had his number and loosing was not an option for the cobra.

They might have a third fight in america after groves and then froch really needs to get in there with ward to seal his legacy.

Ward might not be the same fighter after the shoulder surgery and froch needs to get in there quick.

In the end, no one cares about excuses. It's all about the W and L's and he got beat by a better fighter that night.

Kessler had most the rounds after the 3rd. It could well be true. Nigel Benn has blamed over training for a loss before.

Iv seen other fighters mention how they will only spar for 2 weeks before a fight because it takes the fight out of them too much if they do any more.

It could well be true. He was looking powerful before hand against Green and Magee. Blasting Magee away quicker than Froch and Bute.

I dont think Kessler is finished but he has had a knock on his ambition now. Look how one win has turned Frochs career round. If he had lost to Bute I don't think Froch would have carried on. I don't know if Kessler is maybe struggling with the weight.

It may be true and Kessler does not make excuses normally. I think he had an injured right hand against Calzaghe and he did not make too much of that. He is implying he would win the 3rd fight.

I believe him. Kessler is the superior fighter.

I think kessler WAS the superior fighter but the injuries have taken its toll on him, if they fight a third time ill be rooting for kess again but I don't know that he can go twelve rounds as hard anymore as are needed to beat froch.

    I also believe him.

He's a nice guy and doesn't seem like the type to lie about it.

Says he was doing very well in sparring for a week then sparring with cleverly the next week he did 10 rounds then had no energy after the 4th and was holding a lot.

Could it be as the weight was dropping? Does he drop alot of weight?

It's the start of selling the rematch to his fans and Danish PPV punters. I'd guess this video means they're going to fight again.

I did not know they had PPV in Denmark.

I knew Clev did well when he sparred kessler & that video pretty much confirmed it. Clevs recent destruction vs Kov doesn't reflect well on Kessler but I don't think he's done yet

Froch had his excuses in the first fight and kessler had his excuses in the 2nd. They are well matched so a 3rd match is a toss up especially if Groves manages to push Froch hard and Kessler is well rested

Kessler wants a third fight, the article is on skysports. He wants a long break and is up for a third fight in London or Denmark. This will be interesting.

That's funny! He's no idiot and is surrounded by a knowledgeable boxing team, how would something like that happen?
