Default Anthony Mundine vs. Carson Jones on January 29th in Brisbane, Australia

Boxing News | Anthony Mundine vs. Carson Jones is official

Mundine showing how ambitious he is. He's clearly serious about a Mayweather or Alvarez fight by going out there and getting Carson Jones. Mundine wants the big fights, he's backing up his words here!

I like Carson Jones, but he's a welterweight. Mundane should be too big for him, but who knows. I hope Jones schools him and I'm glad he's getting semi-big fights.

Not sure of the career advice that Mundine is taking but this seems a pointless fight.

Mind, I'm sure they will lap it up in Australia and the silly commentators will make it sound like he's fighting a Legend

This is basically what Mundine has done for most of his career. Stupid fight, but I don't think it's a certain mismatch either at this stage. Mundine is 38 and looked like shit against Mosley imo, he's either draining himself to make 154 or just on the slide but either way he looks listless, doesn't have the legs anymore, pushes his shots and is really easy to hit. I don't know whether Jones is good enough or strong enough to win, but he is decent and over 10 years younger, it wouldn't surprise me.

Jones has handled power punchers before too, so he may be able to overcome the size advantage. Jones schooled Tyrone Brundson not too long ago, that kid had set the record for most consecutive 1st round KO's at like 18 or so I believe.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"

But bruh, brunson is a bum and his KO record was padded with a bunch of other guys from the homeless shelter.
