what's the difference between one more dead junkie in Hollywood, and one more dead junkie in a boarded up house in Middlesbrough or Detroit?

About a million sanctimonious bullshit posts on the internet

He went out in style and at a very decent intermediary age. Most will die with a heart attack or a stroke and he went out looking for heroin heaven. It's sad that he is dead as he was a good actor, but the media is harping on about it a bit much.

Heroin is apparently coming back big in the States and around the world, and I have no fucking clue why. It has the most unglamorous, disgusting image out of any drug. I can understand cocaine, because you kind of associate that with partying and also to rich and successful people.

Heroin has such a dirty image, of skinny dopers injecting needles into an arm covered with infected sores - looking like it has gangrene - in some dirty alleyway or a messy dope den. And it has the distinction of snuffing out so many artists over the years.

I have no idea what would tempt someone to use heroin, unless you hate yourself and have a death wish.

And as far as artists go, there's NOTHING that heroin can do for creativity that marijuana, LSD or another psychedelic drug can't. I just don't buy that.

When people talk about being creative on drugs, I find that talk gibberish. Drugs let you have a unique time and that is it. It certainly has little meaning for a job where you need your timing, poise, and discipline. All drugs take away discipline. Drugs are for kicks.

I am not against drugs in the slightest. To use heroin is no different to using other drugs. Just as long as the supply is maintained then your quality of life shall remain. Life is ponzi schemes everywhere else, why discriminate against heroin, and especially, if it is someone who can afford it? Drugs are only bad when it becomes crime and breaking into peoples homes.

In fact the US government itself is guarding poppy fields these days in Afghanistan and oh so coincidentally, America has an H epidemic.

I will say this about PSH, he (no matter how shitty the movie was and he was in a few that weren't great) but he was ALWAYS good in films. He was one of the best actors in Hollywood, he never played Philip Seymour Hoffman, he played roles and he did so wonderfully like Gary Oldman does.

As for heroine, half of the medicine we're fed is synthetic heroine Oxycontin, Oxycodone, Percocet, etc. It's no wonder people find themselves addicted to it.

I dabbled in some illicit drugs during my youth, but I NEVER saw the appeal of shooting anything...you don't see people in the old age homes who have track marks from their time as a user (bar the obviously undead/vampire Keith Richards). People will shoot up coke or meth or heroine or a mixture of them....it's ridiculous and I don't see any reason why? Chris Farley OD'd on a speedball which is heroine and cocaine which is apparently supposed to send your heart on a rollercoaster ride of speeding up and slowing down....how is that fun? How can you function doing shit like that? How can you interact with people on a daily basis when you're on or off of that? That kind of thing frightened me and I'm glad it has because I don't think I'd survive that kind of shit.

Some drugs once they get their hooks in you don't let go until they drag you under.

That's been my experience as well, although I've only used marijuana and psychedelic drugs.

In my experience, you think the many ideas you get are good, but when you come back down you realize it was just garbage.

I think the results could be achieved without the narcotics.

You are right but the dirty image stuff but it's because heroine gives you the ultimate high that is better than sex according to a lot of users. It's the best high they say..

Ive never done it but I can see why people would get hooked on it instantly.. shoot it through ur veins and imagine that rush straight to the dome.

Ive done coke back in the days but I didnt like it.. it just gets me real paranoid and hostile.. I hate that feeling.

The reason why people get hooked on heroine is not because the high is so super amazing it's because coming off of heroine is a fucking nightmare

All I've ever had opiate based has been prescribed to me, I don't fuck around with the kind of shit that can and will kill me or sink it's hooks deep into me.

Have you ever heard stories of people detoxing off of heroin? The withdrawals they suffer? It's scary enough that I won't tempt my fate with it.

Actually, it was MI-III, and I remember thinking how I wasn't used to seeing him in that kind of villain role. He was more of a comedic actor to me. Although I thought he did a great job in Moneyball, portraying Art Howe as the Oakland Athletics' manager. All in all a very busy actor. One of those familiar faces that came out in just about every other film that would come out.

My uncle told me that he had three hard runs with heroin, and that the pain of kicking is worth it, the high is so good. I had another good friend that I sat with while he kicked on two occasions and, as soon as he was up and around again, he got high. Because it is GOOD, he told me.
I hear that kicking methadone is harder than heroin.
