Default Watched fight again - what would happen if there was a Khan v Maidana II ??

Having watched the PBF Maidana fight again I was much more impressed with Maidana second time round – I was well hungover first viewing, maybe even still pissed to be honest.

Floyd did land the cleaner crisper punches though and I had him 3-4 up by the final bell.

I give Khan a better chance of beating Mayweather (when just maybe he will have Father Time in his corner too) but it got me seriously thinking as to the outcome of a Khan v Maidana II fight. If Maidana fought like he did against Floyd I couldn’t see Khan surviving three rounds .

    Could you ?

How much is Khan allowed to hold? If the ref starts taking points early Khan getts starched. If the ref allows it until taking one point late Khan puts it on him. His Ruiz style is ugly but effective.

if Chino fought like that I don't think it would last two. it would be reminiscent of Porter v Malanaggi, which was painful too watch.

I think you are overestimating Maidana's stopping power and underestimating Khan's speed. Floyd could not put Chino on his backside and yet all of a sudden Khan is going to be wiped out ?.Yes Khan hung on for his life in the first fight but he is not going to stand and trade with him and is more than capable of pushing the Argentinian back on to his back foot. It's an anything can happen fight but I would not put it past Khan to win on points or even stop Maidana. He could also get sparked out. Pick a straw.

not underestimating Khan's speed at all and I agree its an anything can happen fight.

I am astonished how some people are willing to ignore the GLARING deficiencies in Khan's game and overrate him so much after the Collazo fight. Khan, with the help of an incompetent referee, was able to get away with tons of holding in that fight. He has NO inside game and you can still see that deer in headlights look when something lands on his chinny chin. Maidana can fight just as dirty and is relentless. With his improved jab and awkward angles...Khan would taste the canvas again. As for Khan vs. Mayweather...i can guarantee you Floyd (and whoever is refeering a Floyd fight) will not allow him to get away with his bullshit holding. Then it comes to how Khan can be easily timed. Floyd will time him and brutalize him from both the inside and outside. Khan is nowhere near ready for that fight. But hey...haters want to pin their hopes on Floyd looking "old" and the the bs assumption that somehow Khan can beat a fighter like Mayweather with just speed. Dream the fuck on.

If anything I see Maidana the more improved fighter over the last few compared to Khan. Khan put on a showcase and kept his head v Collazo but he still had a bloody lumped up boxer who was fighting a style completely out of norm for himself walking in with his hands at his side and still managing to land throw away shots. Khan is fast but he is hittable and can be hurt. Maidana has a whole different tier of self confidence and knows he can hang with and bank rounds off the very best in the sport today. I personally think Maidana would get him off track, stunned and detonate him in ugly fashion.

You are accusing everybody of being haters and yet you are the only one mentioning Floyd. Can you not get through one thread without bringing him up?
