    Default Quillin vs Korobov

What do ya think? Any chance of the politics being worked out and this one happening? Has the making of a decent scrap. I actually think Quillin has improved but is sitting on cruise control as far as big fights for whatever reason. Korobov finally came out of witness protection and had a opportunity last week to break out win. He won but looked labored and to me like a guy who has been through twice as many fights as he's actually had.

You know what, I'm not a fan of either but you're right, the politics should be set aside and let this one happen. As long as it's competitive, it could set up either for huge $payday $

Korobov had struggling moments in his last 2... the worse was round 1 vs Edwards... Quillin has all the tools to outbox a hot and cold Korobov. BUT his chin is his limit and Korobov can bang

I agree with this. He needs to step it up at this point in his career, or he'll slowly fade into obscurity. Personally I like watching him fight. He's got the good power, combined with a not-quite-iron chin which makes him vulnerable. He's also aggresive and tends to press the action. Makes for exciting action.

I happen to think Quillin has a decent chin. He just gets hit a little too often. More often than GGG does, and he also doesn't slip punches as GGG does. But what he can do is fight, pour it on and take it to the next level.

He is the only one in the division that can, on any night and against anyone, knock his opponent spark out. Not wear him down. Not make the guy quit in the corner. Not let the ref stop it via TKO. But put someone spark out, flat on the canvas.

Quillin is the best MW out there today. Better than GGG.

I feel like Korobov has had two careers, he's been marinating too long. Might be in the minority but really think Quillin is showing a respectable backfoot and accuracy lately. The trinket organization sounds insistent on this happening.

Both fighters have looked underwhelming. Quillin since he won the title and Korobov for seemingly half his career. I think Quillin wins a boring decision.

Korobov is just to basic. Quillin has more variety in his offense. I think he beats him on points. Something like 117-111 or 116-112

Korobov always been a hot and cold fighter... he was the flavour of the month for a while too earlier in his career. I always thought he was a slow pace puncher... so a busy durable fighter can beat him. But Edwards also exposed a soso chin.

Quillin is a hot and cold fighter, but not fight to fight... he is in hot and cold during the same fight... started with miranda... and extended to many other performances where he starts brilliantly well looking like a Norris... but then looks vulnerable, lacks stamina and shows a shaky chin.

No doubt but Quillin has gotten hit relatively easily in the 2nd half of his fights... Don't think his chin can afford getting hit flush by Korobov.

This fight ain't happening as everyone on other boxing forums have said. He's managed by Al Haymon, the same guy that managed people like Danny Garcia, Gary Russell Jr., and Deontay Wilder. Too dangerous of a fight, probably will be fighting a bum next. Probably will be fighting a Salka type of opponent like Garcia.

Lol, half of the top guys in boxing are managed/promoted by Haymon, that doesn't mean anything. How can you compare Danny Garcia to Deontay Wilder on another note, are you trolling here? Garcia is younger than Wilder and has been in really tough for his last half dozen fights at least, they have nothing in common. What's a Salka type of opponent anyways?

Salka isn't even ranked in the top 30 of any organization, period. He's a bum. And his last fight against Herrera was supposed to be an easy showcase fight to try to draw in the Rican fans, except Haymon didn't anticipate that it looked like Garcia lost the fight according to many fans. Garcia should have rematched Matthysse, not take a supposedly "easy" fight against Herrera, that backfired significantly. Garcia's last dozen fights are fighting a shot Zab Judah and shot Erik Morales 2 times and chinny Khan. Not exactly tough tests. The only tough one was Matthysse and that was a mandatory.

    Maybe it's you that's trolling.
