At least he wants to earn the shot by winning a title and not just expecting it. How the hell the fight did 80,000 and ppv is beyond me.

I have this feeling that groves had his best chance in the first fight with froch. , he didn't win , and now his chance has gone . I feel he will be knocked out plenty times more in world class.

I'd go along with that. Everything got stacked in Groves favour in fight one and he couldnt get the job done. I think he'll do well to keep himself relevant for the next couple of years.

I think Groves is going to be the super middle bersion of Audley Harrison.

Not a bad shout as a comparison.

Like Harrison he has the skills and attributes but just isn't strong enough to deal with anyone with real desire and anyone with a good punch is a massive risk.

The shot Froch caught him with, he should have seen and been able to avoid. Froch is a good puncher but he's not the biggest. That punch would have got the attention of but not hurt, had it even landed against the likes of Kessler, Bika, Ward, Dirrell, Abraham etc. he really needs to work on his head movement because its none existent. He has the same style as Haye which is just to move out the way with his footwork but stuck against the ropes and he's a sitting duck.

He may now also be in Harrison mode with regards to punches coming his way. Gun shy.

We also tend to forget froch had no defence in the first few rounds of the first fight , when groves caught him flush ,froch's punches won't have been as hard and sharp for a good few rounds after that . In the second fight I never thought groves was ever going to have that kind of success again.
Now if he starts to doubt his own punch resistance he could well become very gun shy .

Not sure how the Harrison comparison works. Audley totally froze on the big stage, Groves reveled in it. He got ironed out by one the best fighters in the sport. It's the equivalent of Audley putting in a great effort against Klitschko.

And considering he's jumping straight back into the ring at European level, instead of dining out on the success of the Froch experience, must say something about his character/desire too.

He's an arrogant cunt, and a bit delusional, but he knows Froch III is never happening in a million. Still some big fights for him though, whether he can win them or not is another matter.

If Froch were to lose his belt and Groves somehow won a belt, the fight would happen again.

The Froch-Groves affair ended halfway through round eight when Groves was left staring into space. The whole story was finished with a definitive ending.

You will never see them fight again. Fact.

80,000 people and PPV might suggest otherwise.

Well, he's not doubting his punch resistance yet or he'd stay away from Dirrell and Froch. I'd really like to see the Dirrell fight, that could tell us where Groves belongs.
Another KO or truly bad performance anytime soon could end Groves' hopes for more big paydays.
