I am interested in opinions on the Hughes /Gracie fight. Hughes has stated that he plans to keep the fight standing to take away Gracie's submission aresenal. While I think Hughes has the tools to win this fight I question this strategy. Gracie is not without striking skills , and he has a tremendous reach advantage. While Hughes may not have the strength Shamrock did in the second Gracie/Shamrock fight he might be better served by keeping Gracie on his back the way Shamrock did. Working within the guard is not the mystery it once was.

gracie imo is the best ground fighter of all time, hughes wont be able to keep of the floor, only thing that might hamper royce is the rules grrrrr

If it was no rounds and no time limit ala vintage UFC then royce would seriously own Hughes. As it is not this i see Hughes getting a decision.
