After having a good 2013, Stevenson went on to look less than impressive against Fonfara. Has a Fighter of the Year ever fallen from grace as quickly the next year as Stevenson?

Gary Russell Jr was Prospect of the year in 2011 then fell off.

Stevenson got badly exposed by Fonfara. But looking back at the Cloud and Bellew fights, Stevenson always had those flaws.
Someone on another site said that Stevenson tends to back up when Fonfara lands a double jab. In the Cloud fight, you could see Stevenson backing up when Cloud threw a jab or a double jab.
Another thing I noticed is that Stevenson tends to drop his hands when he throws a punch. Just look at the Bellew fight. He also tends to lunge when he throws.
The Fonfara fight confirmed what I said about the Bellew fight, that Stevenson gets frustrated if he doesn't get his way, if he has to come to his opponent.
While he entitled it a business decision, he ducked Kovalev, thinking he would face Hopkins. Hopkins preferred Kovalev and Stevenson was left with no one to fight but Pascal. Now Pascal is facing Kovalev. There's only Betebiev (sp?) left.
Nonito Donaire fell pretty quick in 2013 after being FOTY in 2012. Rigo beat him and he didn't look stellar against Darchinyan.
2014 was worse with some of us thinking Donaire may have taken the easy way out with his cut in the Vetyeka fight and then came Walters.
The funny thing is he almost fell as much for dumb business decisions as he has for anything that took place in a ring. He played himself
Vernon Forrest won FOTY after giving p4p king Shane Mosley two monumental ass whippings, only to drop two straight to wild brawler Mayorga the next year.
Trinidad won FOTY in 2000 and got embarrassed by Hopkins in 2001.
Carbajal won in '93 and got upset twice by Humberto Gonzales in '94.
To be a bit morbid, Salvador Sanchez won in '81 and got killed in a car accident in '82.

Stevenson is still relevant Pavlik and Tarver have failed more than Adonis.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
And he hasn't lost yet but I'm not sold on the guy, never was.
Think he gets killed by Kov, and not convinced he beats Hopkins.

He only had one bad bad performance didn't he?
Officially the only saddo who has had a girlfriend
