Thread: Andre Dirrell- more a Middleweight?

Well, he looks out of place as a Super Middle? Doesn't he??

He should campaign at Middle....

I don't know if he can make 160 he has never fought below the Super middleweight limit, I'm sure it would be a tough ask at this stage of his career

Dirrell is funny to me. He only calls out Froch and never Ward, who is number one in the division. Who wants to see Froch against Dirrell again? The first time was more than enough. I was actually going to suggest the opposite - he should move up to 175. There's more going on at 175 than 168 these days, especially if Froch retires.

Agree and he was already fighting at 175 prior to last night. I suppose he see's 168 as the easiest route to a title.

Dirrell knows he & ward won't be a major draw, regardless of the skills on display. I gues he feels sometime down the road the fight will sell.

Dirrell probably knows he wouldn't beat Ward, who doesn't even fight anymore. Froch may retire as well, and if he has another fight or two to go out on it won't be against the guy with no profile who edged him in a complete stinker. Nobody would want to see that again even if it made sense.

I don't know what is about Dirrell, but I just can not get behind the guy. He talks a great fight and he does win but it's usually disappointing in one way or another. Am I being too hard on the guy, just wrong or what?
