im excited in the sense that they are both big punchers and it will be a good fight while it lasts. neither of them though have proven that they are good fighters yet.

I think Stiverne is the better bet to win this but as per usual I'm going to pick the guy I want to win. So I'm going with Wilder who will hopefully give American boxing a shot in the arm with another big KO.
It doesn't matter who you put in the ring with him, if Wilder gets to land that right anywhere near flush it's going to splatter whoever is on the end of it.
I disagree.
We already know Wilder can't beat Wladimir. He has been battered in sparring by Wlad and Haye already.
Stiverne has a real punchers chance.
Unless Wilder has improved drastically since those camps. He looked like a flailing gazelle in the footage I have seen against both aforementioned fighters.
I am excited for this fight as well though, very unpredictable and guaranteed to end in a KO.

I can't help but think about that leaked footage of Wilder staggering around like a baby Giraffe after Haye tagged him in sparring whilst training for the Fury fight that never came off. This and the fact that Wilder is for the first time taking a real step up in competition worry me. I actually want Wilder to win as I believe that he would be the "better" HW champion (although we all know he wouldn't really be that) because I think the perfect record and the fact that the guy is certainly marketable are something that would benefit the division and ultimately the sport.
I haven't been on here for a good while but the traditional glamour division is certainly heading in the right direction at the minute which is a lot more than I've been able to say for a long time. The fact that we have got an unbeaten fighter with a perfect KO record fighting for a version of the HW title is a great thing but I think I'd have to go with Stiverne to pull this one out of the bag and probably very early. He certianly seems to have the better chin and he has genuine power too and I really do wonder how Wilder will handle these 2 qualities!
I hope that on sunday morning I'm thinking to myself "well Wilder proved me wrong, he really can hang with decent opposition" but I just feel he is too raw and one dimensional and will probably be exposed.
I am definitely looking forward to this one though and the one thing that cannot be taken away from Wilder is his power, if he lands right on Stiverne he can certainly take him out and Stiverne did take quite a few shots from Arreola before he caught him!
Wilder's gonna be putting his championship belt on after this fight....

I agree about it being a good fight, but I do think we've seen more of Stiverne than we have of Wilder. What I'm saying is that Stiverne has proven himself in some hard fought fights and Wilder hasn't.
You can't say (I can't, anyway) Wilder is a bum simply because he KOs everyone he fights, in my opinion.
Hopefully it's a good fight for a while, instead of a blowout one way or the other.
I can feel the tension building like a 2 inch, threaded nylon rope being stretched to its breaking point. Stand back!!
Forget I said that, I wouldn't want to sound overly dramatic! Hell man, I'm as cool as a refrigerated cucumber. 😎
Wilder v Stiverne to me is a 50/50 fight, why because Wilder is fast a wild big puncher,! he hits them
they go they say his chin is poor but do we really no, as nobody has really got to him.
Stiverne looks solid nothing special, looks to have a good chin and decent punch power, in this match up
nobody is head and shoulders above each other.!!!!!!
That is absolutely spot on, sparring is not the same as fighting and too many people including myself are probably putting a little too much emphasis on what happened to Deontay when he sparred the likes of Haye and Wlad. Another thing that we should probably be focusing on a little more whilst talking about those sparring sessions is the experience that Wilder will have gained from those sessions. I don't know much about who Stiverne has sparred in the past but Wilder has sparred excellent opposition, that has to be something that is in his favour!?
