    Tuesday ~ October 5, 1976

Rand 'Open Air' Stadium ~ Johannesburg, South Africa

    Kalllie Knoetzee ~ 7-0-0 {7 KO's} ~ 6' 1" ~ 216 lbs.
    vs.
    Reinaldo 'Raul' Gorisito ~ 23-9-3 {13 KO's} ~ 6' 3" ~ 199 lbs.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This bout was the 'Main Undercard' for the Victor Galindez vs. Kosie Smith
    WBA Light-Heavyweight Championship.

    Kallie Knoetzee {Age; 22 years, 10 months} was the highly-touted South African
    'Bomber'.

Kallie, who had only been a Professional since February 1976 {8-Months}, had
destroyed everyone that they put in front of him.

    Now a real test >

Reinaldo 'Raul' Gorisito {Age; 25 years, 11 months} was no easy mark.

The Argentinian was a tall-and-lean, but solid and durable fighter at >

    been 'dropped-or-stopped' as a Professional in '35-Bouts'.

Reinaldo, had won the 1971 New York Golden Gloves 'Open Heavyweight'
    Division, as a {20 year-old} well-schooled boxer.

The 5 1/2 year Pro, was also was the 'current' Argentinian Heavyweight Champion.

~ Kallie Knoetzee 'Disqualified for Low Blows' In Bout With Argentinian Champ ~

Highly-touted South African Heavyweight- Kallie Knoetzee was 'Disqualified in Round 4' by the
Referee - Peter Lock, for deliberately sending low-blows into Argentinan - Reinaldo 'Raul' Gorisito.

Knoetzee {216 lbs.} got off to a fast start in Round 1, as he mauled Gorisito {199 lbs.} while
trying to land one of his vaunted and feared right-hand smashes.

But the Argentinian was 'cagey', as he slid away and rolled with the hard blows from the 'burly'
    South African.

Knoetzee put heavy-pressure on the 'slender' Argentinian during Round 2, and continued to
slam away with his 'heavy' right-hands, while pinning Goristo along the Ropes.

Again, in Round 3 the South African slammed away wth big-swings, but Gorisito leaned
back on the Ropes, and rode out the barrage by ether blocking or parrying the incoming
    punches.

Then late in the Round, Knoetzee started to get arm-weary, and during the the last 30-Seconds
of the Round the South Afrcan was breathing-hard wth an open mouth.

Coming out for Round 4, the South African contingent looked a bit worried as their fighter
    looked tired.

Immediately, Knoetzee bulled Gorisito to the Ropes, and slung his tired arms around the
Argentinian. There, Kallie attempted to maul Gorisito, and stared slamming blows into the
    Argentinian's belt area.

By the {1:30 Mark}, Knoetzee was near exhausted. Then, Gorisito started to fight back with
some snappy left-hands and counter rights to the face.

Just as the Argentinian was taking control, Knoetzee slammed a hard right-hand below the
Belt, which dropped Reinaldo to his knee's.

The Referee - Peter Lock gave Reinaldo a '1-Minute' rest, and warned Knoetzee for the
    low-blow.

When the action resumed, Gorisito moved to Center-Ring, and scored with several poking
left-hands into Knoetzee's face as the South African swung with wild punches that missed
    badly.

Then the 'flustered' South African retaliated by slamming another 'intentional' right-hand
    into Gorisito's groin area.

Reinaldo then dropped to his knee's.

This time, Gorisito was permitted a 2-Minute rest period, and the Referee 'penalized'
    Knoetzee 1-Point.

When the action resumed, a 'ticked off' Reinaldo Gorisito went after Knoetzee, and ripped
away with a flurry of lefts-and-rights to the head and body over the next 25-Seconds.

Now Knoetzee looked to be in trouble, and he retaliated by 'intentionally' digging '3' hard
right-hands into the Argentinian's groin, dropping him to he canvas.

Immediately Referee - Peter Lock 'Disqualified' Kallie Knoetzee and awarded the bout
    to Reinaldo 'Raul' Gorisito.

He {Kallie Knoetzee} is very strong for sure. But he is not a World Class fighter as of yet.

He started to tire in the 2nd Round, and by the end of the 3rd-Round he was huffing and
    puffing. He was exhausted.

He hit very hard in the 1st and 2nd Round, but he did not hurt me at all. In the 4th-Round,
he had nothing at all on his punches. That is why he hit me in the 'balls', to save himself
    from getting beat up.

I was bouncing punches off his face in Round 4, and if he didn't 'intentionally' foul me, I
would have knocked him out in '2' more Rounds.

They paid me $6000 to come here to be a 'patsy', but I would not fall down.

Nobody has knocked me down or stopped me. That is what I pride myself on. I can take
    anybody's punch.

Now, that I beat their boy, they are going to have to fork over $15,000 to get me back
here to fight him again. He's a rough fighter, but he's a dirty fighter.
