After a banner year in 2013 (Dawson & Cloud) he fights 3 duds in a row, & now wants to fight a guy that's in his 15th year coming off a loss to Dirrell.
Fights like this makes me root for the underdog. Adonis belongs in the Bum/tomato can thread for this choice.
I think it was just in the way Bika threw so recklessly, he had a real clubbing power because he'd throw his right hand like he was a right fielder trying to throw someone out at home plate. He would literally put everything he could into those shots, whereas the guys you listed were much more technical with their punches. Hopkins was never really a big puncher, especially at 175. Roy never really displayed the one-punch power at 175 as he did at 168 and below (outside of the Montell Griffin and Virgil Hill fights).
Sometimes it's not who you'd expect... James Toney was in with some real bangers from 160 to HW and he says the hardest he was ever hit was against Merqui Sosa at MW.

Stevenson hopes to keep bika off with that jab and snipe at the end of his range with that big left. Bika cant pull the trigger anymore so it he'll try to walk through it and probably run right into one as he has no lateral movement and is easy to line up straight down the middle which makes him tailor made for Stevenson.
If he does get inside it will interesting to see how superman reacts to getting mauled in close and a few chopping hands to side/back area of the head. Will tie up, he step back and resume sniping or will he fall to his knees and start crying foul. Getting stevenson to mix it up and brawl is Bikas only shot really.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

the fight looks good on paper but as been mentioned, bika is past his best and 175 is too high in weight for him i think. i give him a chance to win but not a great one. i just dont know if he will have the power to seriously hurt adonis.
So, the rest of the top Light Heavies fight each other , while Adonis rejects all that and takes on a SMW moving up 5 years past his sell by! seriously, whoever wins, who gives a Flying fuck? sure, on paper it looks alright, but you know what they say....... "Paper fighters win Paper cups!"
Waste of time imo. Bika is a guy well on the way out and he's never had a fight at 175, a rematch with Fonara would have been more interesting.
LMAO Hoplins (to the best of my knowledge) never stopped someone above middleweight, so straight of the back you can chuck him. Secondly, Calzaghe said he hits harder then the other 2 which for all we know is true. Hes not stating Bika is better just that he hits harder. Why is that not believable?
I've heard a few solid fighters say Hopkins is actually quite heavy handed in interviews. He's obviously not an all out puncher but he gets respect pretty well off the bat in all his fights, and Bika has never knocked out a good fighter period to my knowledge. Dunno why I'm even chiming in with that, but I do think Roy Jones genuinely hurt Calzaghe when he dropped him in the 1st of their fight, that had to be more of a scare than he had against Bika.
Bika swings and everyone sees his shots coming which is why they dont knock many out but that doesnt mean hes not a powerful puncher. What it means is you have to stay alert with him.
Didnt Stevenson get caught in his last fight? Bika has been at supermiddle his whole career and is the most ripped fighter there. Maybe a move up will bring a new lease of life.
Also, wtach the last round with Ward. Bika had him all over the shop.
I just don't see it in Bika's mechanics. lol... no way a guy that swings wildly like that can hit effectively and hard. Take for example Ricardo Mayorga, he swings wildly a lot of times but his hard hitting shots are the ones he throws straight. And I'm saying Bika doesn't even have that kind of talent to throw punches better than Mayorga- and Mayorga is a Wildman. lolol....
