It's always Hitlers fault isn't it. Genocide was a very bad thing to do. He should really have just hung the Jewish bankers and left it at that, but he always had to take it too far. Netanyahu is a mini-Hitler. Random invasions, his own concentration camp, apartheid. All he needs now is a little mustache.
What a mess since 1948. What a mess.
Miles, I never see you scold countries like north Korea or Iran, you tend to save your critique for countries that do at least some good.
North Korea is a despicable regime. Iran I have more time for and when it comes to the Middle East, I wonder why the US spends so much time fretting about Iran and yet is good friends with the horrible Saudi regime which is chopping heads off and lashing bloggers and all kinds of bizarre things. No country in this world is perfect, but when it comes to destabilising the world one country does always spring readily to mind and to be fair the UK and Israel typically tip toe along with them. If it isn't toppling regimes, it is funding regime change or else supporting regimes that probably do need toppling. Remember it is just politics and nothing personal. The people of North Korea are just people, just like in Russia, America, or Iran. They do the best the can with the systems that are imposed on them from birth. Israeli politics is nasty and I don't really see much that is positive about that.
But you cannot say Iran has been destabilising the Middle East and fail to notice that your own nation has destabilised the entire world and physically decimated the Middle East. Look at Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, and now Syria. Was that all Iran's fault? In the great scheme of things Iran is a threat to nobody. They will join with the Brics and an alternative global system will take off. That is what the Ukraine and demonising Russia is all about. Any countries that reject the petrodollar will be isolated and taken apart and Iran is of course on the hitlist as is Syria and most kamikaze of all Russia.
there is no question that saudi Arabia is the number one global sponsor of terrorism. Saudi Arabia is also probably the number one violator of human rights as it continues to chop off arms and legs and heads of Filipino maids and Indian tourists. everyone forgets that 12 of the 19 hijackers on September 11 were Saudi Arabian citizens.
I do seem to recall my country helping stabilize your country, I have family who were there. Every night you sleep peacefully under the fabric of the American flag we fought so valiantly to cover you with giving you the ability to leave England and relocate there, no need to thank us, we do things like that.
Korea was just the chess board. It was a draw and the pieces all got set up again back on their lines.
Same dudes are getting ready to play again by the looks of it trouble is there is some stronger pieces and better players on the board this time.Could you imagine trying to fight off the armies of Russia, China and Nth Korea all at once these days?
Let's just say for a moment that you were protecting people against the great 'evil' of Communism, then it is ironic that you have to go back over 60 years to find a positive example of foreign policy. Of course, it was only strategic and the fact that the North remained a dictatorship and the south too became a dictatorship suggests that democratic principles were not very high up on the agenda. Of course it is terrible for any of the UN fighters who died, just as it is terrible that people died in Vietnam or Iraq or any other conflict, but that doesn't avoid the fact that your elite don't care about servicemen or the millions who get slaughtered in these conflicts. That a country can rise from the pits of devastation is not down to your generosity, it is down to the hard work and will of the people who improved themselves and threw off the shackles of oppression.
