He looked good and has proven he is capable of boiling down a pace or cranking it up. The kid has improved. He has huge holes coming in when he just lunges, almost wearing visible doubt though. What gets me is when he had his last 2 in the most trouble he effectively just backed off and let them back into the fight. In all reality Guerrero was done at the end of that round and its a testament to his brass balls he hung in but Thurman got roughed up and turned it into some international track meet and let the moment slip away. I'd like to see a Maidana fight, that would be fun tv

Thurman has brutal thudding power, but like stated above he does get visibly uncomfortable on the inside and he does get discouraged when he hits a guy hard and they don't go anywhere. Overall Thurman is a fantastic young fighter and one of the top guys at WW, now I'd love to see him go against another one of the division's elite like Khan, Maidana, Brook, Porter, ect. I think a match with JMM would be very interesting and a great test to see what Thurman could work against an elite counter puncher.
Well said. Also Spicoli's point: dude got his track shoes on 11-12th. I'll add: Ghost takes a great punch.

Thurman is IMPROVING! That is rare for prospects who get TV deals so early and fame and fortune so young.

I thought he looked great and did his damndest to stop Guerrero when he dropped him.

Is he improving? I see tons of flaws. The comparison to Taylor seems apt. His athleticism covers many of his flaws like how he throws his uppercut or the fact he drops his hands before he punches. But when he gets in with athletes on his level or close his flaws will be exploited. I don't think he's nearly as smart as he thinks he is and that will come back to bite him.

That said I hope I'm wrong and he tightens things up.

i feel like he showed what i thought he was. very athletic with a very good punch and good speed. his flaws are that he doesnt do well when his opponent tries to pressure him and he doesnt really use a jab to set up his shots. he just uses a lot of hooks and counter hooks. i feel that a jab would greatly improve his offense against elite fighters.

because of his athleticism, he will give most fighters a tough time, but because of his flaws, he wont be elite. i do think that he will improve though and will slowly rid himself of those flaws but but not completely.

He's a great talker and good fighter. It was back-to-back good wins over tough fighters. Him vs Brook would be a great fight, Khan would do well to get his chin through 12 rounds.

I'd like to see him fight Khan and I think Khan gives him a torrid time with his speed and movement. Khan's next big fight will probably either be Manny or Mayweather though.

Which means he will not face a dangerous opponent like Thurman or Brooks but a stay busy fight. Shame.

I'm surprised to see a couple of references to Jermaine Taylor.

I thought I was alone on that one

I think he bypasses Porter, who is damaged goods at this point after losing to Brook. I'd love to see him shoot for an Amir Khan or a JMM - another established name that can hurdle him forward. JMM would probably be the better choice, as he's looked a bit older and shop worn lately. Not an easy fight, but a very winnable fight.
