Thread: I will not pay to watch another Erislandy Lara fight. You?

I cannot think of a more boring way to spend time than to watch a fighter who stinks out the whole arena like he did against Canelo for example. Boxing purists may well-enjoy Erislandy Lara's methods. If I were the ref in the Canelo fight I would have taken away 2 points for failing to engage his opponent. When a fighter dances about circle jerking like a scared jack rabbit for over 45 seconds without throwing a punch, a point needs to be taken. I cannot believe boxing fans want to see this. Remember boxing is entertainment too. Erislandy Lara is like another Floyd Mayweather, and we cannot wait for HIM to retire, we surely don't need another fighter who runs around the ring scared and stinks the whole place out all night long.

He should have took it to canelo in the last rounds and not played safe.

So boxing would be more interesting if every single fight was face first, sorry, that's wrong.

Floyd plays it safe but wins.

Lara must of known what he was up against with oscars golden nugget and if it went to points..but there was moments when he could have pushed it more than he did.

Moments hell, three more landed punches every round would have won the fight for him. IMO

All I know is, what I like to watch and what I don't like to watch! If some fans don't like what I like, that's OK with me, as long as they don't try to tell I'm wrong.

All I know is, what I like to watch and what I don't like to watch! If some fans don't like what I like, that's OK with me, as long as they don't try to tell I'm wrong.

You like Lara? Man, U just plain wrong.

Lara and Rigo are just as entertaining to watch as Floyd is. Some of Rigos fights are fantastic.

Lara may be a cutesy-cutesy lil' slickster or even a Lick-Dickster, but he just ran a marathon against Canelo Alvarez, it was like watching a Cuban Ballerina Class, and the guy threw about 25 punches per round. Boring as ALLLLLLLLLL HELLLLLLLLL. No thank you. Boxing means PUNCHING, not jerking off to Richard Simmons Aerobic moves. Here is Erislandy Lara in action:
