Default There is a resurgance in boxing right now!

In some respects, the little fighters like Chocolatito, along with the tsunami of Eastern European boxers and a solid heavyweight division, have provided a strong foundation for boxing’s resurgence. The fact is, it’s already occurred and can only get better. IMO

I think there is definitely a small resurgance in the UK, there is a fair number of fighters that the casual fan know's now, far more than what people could have named a few years back.

    Tyson Fury
    George Groves
    Carl Froch
    James De Gale
    Carl Frampton
    Kell Brook
    Amir Khan
    Scott Quigg
    Eubanks Jr
    BJS
    Atnhony Joshua

I think most people would know who at least 4 or 5 of them, I'm pretty sure that they would have struggled to name many more than that a few years ago, granted a lot of it is the hype machine from sky and boxnation but its still nice

Fan-friendly boxers from Eastern Europe are now consistently making great fights seemingly everywhere. They include Ukrainians, Uzbekistanis, Belarusians, Kyrgyzstan, Bulgarians, Armenians, Serbians, Kazakhstanis, Russians, and Poles, and they have erased erased the stereotypes of being robotic, technically boring, and straight-up.

Agreed. With all of the talk about "boxing is dead" after that over sold infomercial a few weeks ago, I honestly have not seen as much coverage like the last couple of years since the mid 90's.

It's been refreshing to see more matchups in which BOTH fighters are able to initiate the action.....

Casual fans I know like Golovkin.

They compare him to Roberto Duran, who was very popular.

And they all absolutely hate Mayweather.

Casual fans I know wouldn't have a clue who Roberto Duran is and they all absolutely hate mayweather although they have no idea why
