    Default has khan gotten worse?

When Khan first became a professional fighter, I wasn't sold on him at all. He finally had some impressive wins in his career and I thought that he was going to prove me wrong. Yes he had a weak chin but he was very fast and had a good punch. I felt like he could keep his opponents away with his jab and be very successful. To me, ever since the Garcia loss, he hasn't really looked impressive. Collazo has been his only fight since then that I thought he looked pretty good. The rest of his fights he has looked off and very vulnerable.

This is why I'm annoyed he keeps calling out Floyd like he deserves the fight. I understand that styles make fights and I used to think that Khan would give him trouble but not anymore. I just think that mayweather easily wins and that Khan has done nothing to earn the shot.

I don't care for his style , the European in and out then hold . He makes good use of what he has , but he isn't good to watch.

I'm surprised when I read people asking for a Floyd Khan fight.

These guys who think Floyd runs and holds all night want to see him against a guy who runs and holds all night?

    Really?!?

Whether he's got worse or not , I'm not sure. But one thing is for sure, he hasn't got any better.

So you admit Floyd is boring fighter who no one really wants to watch other than see him get his ass beat. Good we are making some progress with you.

It's that Khan looks the part. Good jab, fast hands, decent power. But Khan doesn't have the brain to fight Floyd. Floyd would counter him early possibly dropping Khan but at worst getting his attention and slowing him. Then Floyd would drop the right on him all night. If Algieri can so easily...

Khan has really just stayed the same, but become more conservative which kind of negates his own strengths somewhat as he is still getting tagged easily. People are downplaying Algieri though who is a very good, intelligent fighter himself. He got it all wrong against Manny, but most do. Otherwise, he has had an excellent career and I think he deserved a draw here considering he landed all the effective blows and made it his fight. Khan has always been a level below the top fighters. He beats some and loses to others. Based on that showing I now think Mayweather has a pretty easy time with him. You can't get tagged that much by the lead right, it is just downright sloppy.

Khan did win the fight but he looked very uncomfortable in doing so, he was pushed back
caught with right hands repeatedly, he was lucky the guy was not a puncher if that was
Brook hitting him, it would have been goodnight over and out.
This fight shows me he is not a strong welter, Porter would have steamrolled Khan I am
not sold on Khan at welter.

We could hope as fans of boxing but it would be irresponsible of Haymon to do. Khan is great when he can do as he pleases. But when things aren't going his way he can't make even slight adjustments. I'm so tired of mentioning the business aspect but if they are going to maximize his earnings they need to continue to call for a fight he can't get and actually fight more softies. Team Khan should be praying Broner wins.

But again, let's hope they go the Thurman or Brook route but I highly doubt it.

Against Alexander he showed big improvement now this fight he has regressed? Bit harsh. Maybe it's just about styles.

Khan/his team never expected Algieri to come out on the front foot constantly pressuring him in a million years. Coupled with Algieri's size advantage (height and reach) and good speed it made it a tough style matchup for Khan.

Khan is clearly not a big puncher at this weight.

He wouldn't get through 12 rounds with Porter let alone Brook or Thurman.

We should be asking, have we been underestimating Algieri? The majority of us were complaining about Khan picking a weak opponent. Now we're thinking he almost bit off more than he could chew.
It was a gamble on Khan's part and it didn't turn out well.

I don't think he's gotten worse, he's the same guy he always was: enormous physical talent, mediocre boxing IQ. That's why we've seen him get KO'd and have close fights with guys he should have blown out.

Cadillac body and a Volkswagen brain with Khan. He is still the same overrated, bigmouthed jerk fighter he has always been. And no he does not deserve a shot at Mayweather who would eat him alive and probably score a rare knockout against the Brit. Say what you want but Danny Garcia should get a shot at the Money man.

The fact is Khan has ALWAYS been mostly attributes. Without his speed, he's just a fighter with a glass jaw, average power, and low ring IQ.
