People want to see Mayweather in there with the guys who have the most chance of beating him, and Khan really doesn't top that list anymore.

    Fair point, to a degree.

There are some who believe Khan is delusional and also rubbish.

There are also some who believe that no one has a chance of beating Mayweather, hence it doesn't matter, and therefore is not really about who you put in front of Mayweather to beat him (assuming they weigh a reasonable weight) but more about making an exciting fight for once.

Khan, with his hand speed and unreliable chin, would make for a very exciting fight and a very good way for Mayweather to end his career with a knock-out win.

I don't know anything about lists etc. but I have seen interviews on YouTube with the likes of Roy Jones Jnr and co. who still think Khan/ Thurman are the two choices for his next opponent.

I think its more boxing nerds who don't want Khan to fight, more than anyone else

Personally I think Porter will be next.

Khan's a real good fighter but I think the biggest argument for Khan is the built in fan base he brings, and not his chances of actually dethroning Mayweather, especially after having IMO a razor-close fight with Chris Algieri that could have went either way.

I give Kell Brook and Thurman a fair shot of beating Mayweather. Floyd is well past his best years and you're talking about two younger undefeated guys with a lot of experience and skill.

Thurman in particular is extremely athletic and has legit 1-punch power in both hands. He also has great boxing skills and a hard, educated jab (which is what a lot of Mayweather's detractors say is the key to beating him).

I think boxing nuts would just much rather see Floyd fight a younger fighter at their peak. Khan has gone through so many ups and downs and mediocre performances over the last few years to really be taken seriously, even with his speed and skill IMO.

im not arsed who floyd mayweather fights, i think hes a bellend and his fights are usually shit

but as im sat at work with nothing to do ill comment on this thread

no one at WW or light middle would go into a fight with floyd as favourite, in fact you be daft to be against floyd in any fight at those weights

Khan, Brook, Thurman or Porter are all acceptable choices and challenges for the so called lb4lb best, they all have a simlar chance as each other and bring different things

out of all of them i would say khan has a good a chance as any, porter probably has the worst chance, and i dont think thurman is skillfull enough to cause mayweather many problems
