Thread: Victor Ortiz is heartless- should stick to doing movies!

Retire, Victor- you just don't have what it takes to be an elite fighter!

I think he will retire now and become a male model. He tried and sometimes he did well but overall he has been a let down.

Movies it is. He ha a rough start Ortiz did, Floyd gave him a sweet cheque and put him in the spotlight, he should just move on. No shame in it. He has done a lot more than what a lot of other fighters have done- he was a world champion for crying out loud and fought the best fighter in our generation and was giving a go at it. He is in one of the best FOTY's ever in history with the man who just then beat him.

What movie has he been in? Can't imagine him being anything but a complete pile of cheese as an actor. Obviously he's not Joe Frazier, but I don't think lack of heart was the issue last night. He was actually tactically getting it right for a stretch and he did get up from the first KD which did all the damage. If he hadn't quit before, could you really say he did yesterday? I don't think so.

True his history of quitting makes us bias, but he purposely let himself be count out n refused to answer if he was alright. He was then visibly happy to be out of there.

Ref tried to give him a blatant 11 count and he still went all 5th amendment. I can't pretend to judge a mans heart who gets punched in the face for a living but he looked so forced and phony in the lead up and pre interview. Berto was just the afterthought and Ortiz still tried to pump up the crowd and interrupt his interview. "You can see the crowd liked my fight"... followed by scattered boos.

He was hardly even in the expendables. I counted maybe three speaking lines, all he really did was mugged the camera and even then it was brief. In fairness to Ortiz I'm sure he could be a decent foil in the b grade films.

That's how Randall Tex Cobb started off. Hey, we're not saying he is going to be Leonardo DiCaprio anytime soon, but he can be involved with the film industry and make just as much money- and even more- by doing bit parts over getting your head smashed in for mobsters!
