I don't think it's so much that he is disliked, I think the majority of people just want to see him use his undoubted talent more regularly.
But that is a great article, very interesting read.
Haven't read the article yet but I agree with Primo, he's not disliked as such, it's more that he has frustrated the life out of boxing fans for years.
That was an excellent article to read and I love Andre Ward again!
I want him to beat Kov now.
Thank you for sharing.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
very good article in all fairness, like I said I've never disliked him but that has made me like him a little bit more.
I still want Kov to win though
Yeah, maybe 'not liked' was not the right choice of words. I have to admit I like the guy (though the SOG stuff got old there for a while). As with most of you, I hoped to see him in the ring more. But, it's his life and choices. He seems to have a good perspective on things so I can't (or won't) second guess his decisions. I'm with Master; I want to see him win. Strangely, I think it'll be good for the sport if he does.
If he isn't and if Kov beats him then do you think that will be the end of Ward?
It doesn't sound like he would be too heartbroken to walk away now, he certainly doesn't sound as though he will hang around until he gets brain damaged.
If Ward wins then I think Kov stays around purely because he enjoys beating people up
Good article, thanks!
If God wanted us to be vegetarians, why are animals made of meat ?
Roy Jones used to say you have to get out with your health and look at him now. No matter what a boxer says you can't count on them to get out at the right time until they actually are out of the fight business and have stayed out for years. Sometimes that isn't even enough.
Great article OP
