Well I think that Crawford would be well up for the fight, Garcia on the other hand I can see being keen to avoid it.

I like the way that rather than having a pop at Crawfords boxing skills or attitude or anything like that he points to PPV sales, sorry but Garcia hasn't exactly been pulling up trees with his opposition just lately has he

I would love to see this come off, but do Arum's guys fight Haymon's much? I'm not up with American boxing politics, although obviously Floyd and Manny fought, but that was an unstoppable force of nature.
Also from comments Angel Garcia has made in the past , we shouldn't hold our breath.
Garcia is one of those guys that nobody rates , but he always gets
the job done. I do think Crawford might be a step too far though. I think we're talking about the next Superstar of Boxing here.

Great fight for Crawford because it puts another solid fighter on his resume. Garcia on the other hand will be officially old news after this fight. Garcia relies on his counter punching to keep his opponents honest. He won't be able to hit Crawford. I would respect him a ton of he took it though.

"I end careers". What a boat load of crap. Garcia is a fine fighter but all I've seen him do is take baby steps and look ordinary after Matthysse. Slighting Postal..who didn't beat Matthysse but left him in a pile..as questionable comp can only be said with a laugh when Garcia is feeding on gimmick catchweights and fighting the in house standard fare. Crawford comes in heavier full of momentum and think he'd be a bridge too far for Garcia and the far better boxer. Even bigger hell would have snow flurries before Arum and Haymon make it happen.

Garcia would be schooled by Crawford. Would fancy Crawford for the stoppage win. No way Garcia takes this fight. He turned down a Pac fight for big money. Why risk a big money fight for Crawford?

Of course this won't happen. I rate Garcia and think he's more than capable of starching some really good fighters, even as a welter, but his best chance against Crawford would be to lose wide on points without getting hurt.

This is a bit tricky. Generally it is Arum in the way and Haymon is willing to work together. But Bob is generally up for a cross promotion when his guy has everything to gain. Garcia could help Crawford become more popular, he could sell the tickets etcetera and Crawford would almost assuredly win. I can't imagine what Haymon could gain off making this fight though. So in this rare occasion I think Haymon would be the one to block the cross promotion.

Garcia just needs to fight regularly and make up for the time he has been out. Forget Crawford, remember the talented Cuban who no one remember because he became a sacrificial lamb for Terrance?

I think Haymons got too many of the division fighters in his pocket to cross that bridge into Nebraska with Garcia. Right now Garcia isnt of much consequence, but hes good to keep around and if hes going to serve garcia up to someone, there's too many in house fighters that people will get behind for in house money.

Scenario 1: Garcia gets fed to thurman in and effor to build thurnman up as a world beater for a showdown with spence.
Scenario 2: Porter gets a crack at garcia to get another belt as icing in the buildup for the Thurman rematch.

Now that guerrero is chewed up, khan is on ice for a while, and broner is stuck on stupid. ..I think Haymon would rather keep all his dogs in the race groomed and sitting. If he sacrifices one, it will only be to another in the stable.

Arums probably thinking the same. Crawford's probably wont be risked against anyone as long as Pac is returned and could be cashed out against him. The divisions too hot right now for either of these guys to risk losing their chips.

I think we'd need for a dark horse to enter and shake things up. (someone whos self promoted or with someone still trying their name in the promoting world. -- Mikey Garcia, maybe?)
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

Yeh agree with that. I wouldn't put it beyond Arum to attempt to fast track Garcia right into Crawford but that would end very badly. Haymon looks to keep things in house and has the rotating pieces to do it, Garcia has mentioned Berto on at least three occasions while doing commentary as far as "possible future" and it would be very easy to make.
