In the video, Andre Ward says "I was sandwiched in between a heroin addict and a crack head, I shouldn't be here"

But heroin addict or not, at least Ward's father had money, Ward grew up in a good neighborhood and his father took him to the boxing gym very often. Kovalev grew up poor in a rough neighborhood and had fewer opportunities, having a disabled father.

I love how ward previously says he didn't want anyone to know so he never talked about it. But now that its out, why not serve up mom and dad's memory for exploitation and work the angle, right? Good thinking..
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

Kov is a nasty individual you see the way he fights he wants to really hurt his opponent, Ward is a clever fighter but can't see him surviving 12 rounds I think Kov in about 6 rounds.

I like both fighters. Kov is a brutal beast with under rated boxing skills who will not be denied. Ward is a very good fighter who should have been a superstar by now.

Ward has stepped up to take on the best fighter at the weight after a long lay off so think he will lose. I can not see Ward stopped but do see him lose a decision.

I intend to stay up and watch this fight because it is the best fight of the year for me.

Had Ward stayed active with decent competition, I would say he would win by decision, but he hasn't fought a really good fighter since Froch 5 years ago, and has only had 5 fights since then. He's gonna have to make this fight boring & ugly by running & hugging all night to get the win, because if he stands and trades with Kovalev, he's gonna get hurt.

Running and hugging does not win a fight, even Wlad punched to win his fights.

Ward whitewashes Kovalev. Kovalev has as much chance of winning as someone finding a vegetarian pit bull terrier.

Boxing needs this to be perceived as a close fight going in, but it won't be in the end. Kovalev is getting schooled from start to finish. Easy night's work for Ward.

Kovalev calls himself "Krusher" yet doesn't fight like one. He comes out looking to land his jab and looking to maintain a certain distance.

He has to be a Krusher or bust
    .

He wont be out-boxing Ward for 12 rounds. Ward will take Kovalev's best weapons then drag him to the deep end like a crocodile. This is not a competitive fight.

Ward's boxing skills are fucking amazing. People will also be suprised that not only will Ward outbox and school Kovalev but he will also bully Kovalev too. Kovalev has been stopped before in the amateurs and dropped 4 times vs Boone. If Ward decides to fight inside then Kovalev won't see the 10th round.

People underestimate Ward's brute strength, he ties you up and beats you up, you spend the fight getting tired trying to untangle yourself, he pushes you and you are off balance and tired.
If ever there was a hyped fighter, it's this Siberian bum slayer - and on Nov 19th he will get found out.

I don't agree mate, I think kov is a very good boxer, and very powerful and ward hasn't done anything for 5 years

for me it will take super human effort or a lot of luck for ward to win

In a way I hope you are right but Kov is a quality fighter and the best at the weight.

Boxing could do with Kovalev winning. No decent fights almost all year and then when we do get one Ward wins a stinker is the last thing we need. It's not going to be easy for a past-his-best Ward to try and jab and grab his way to a points win over Kovalev and I really hope I'm not going to have to see it.
