    Default Brook should retire.

I hate to say it, but I think Brook should retire now. He's had BOTH his orbital bones broken.

Not before he fights Khan. That is still worth watching as long as it is not ppv.

But all of Brook's future opponents are gonna aim for his eyes now.

Well that is better than all of Khan's opponents aiming for his chin.

The prior damage and surgical repair will always be on his mind. As well as his opponents. Not sure he needs to retire but may want to fight a couple of softer touches next time out.

Yep he'll be in fear of permanent damage to his eyes but the lure of a Khan fight and a seven figure retirement sum will probably be too much.

They both need each other now for golden handshake money from the sport.

And Master it will be ppv

He definitely needs one or two "safe-ish" comeback fights. I doubt he would've quit if he hadn't suffered the eye damage before, so mentally it's a massive problem for him going forwards. In recent years just look at Matthysse to see what a dodgy eye can do to your confidence.

I'd definitely retire if I was Brook, he's made himself a Millionare many times over, he's 31, he's had two back to back beatings and suffered the same serious facial injury both times, I can see Ingle sitting him down soon and saying "that's enough son - walk away with your health"

He says he'll be back but against who?
The Khan fight doesn't make the money it once could have anymore.

Brook needs to call it a day

Then both need to win their next few fights for Summer 2018 showdown.

The thing that I was thinking was his first 2 real fights (minus Porter) and he has had back to back fractured eye sockets, what are the chances of that happening?

He's bones must be made out of cardboard, I mean it's not exactly the most common of injuries in boxing is it.

First "real" fights? He's been a pro over 10 years, boxed since he was a nipper, that's a lot of damage taken in that time, thousands of rounds.

Golovkin and Spence are not the most common hitters. Many a lesser man than Brook would have been unconscious long before sustaining serious damage.

Come on Fenners you know what I mean, I was talking about the fact that he has stepped up to fight the elite in his last 2 fights, there ain't many people out there better than GGG and Spence Jr, it's certainly a step up from fighting Frankie Gavin and Kevin Bizier, , I was pointing out the fact that once he stepped up his opposition (meaning he will be fighting bigger hitters and getting hit more than usual) he has fractured his right and left eye sockets.

Yes many a lesser man than Brook would have been unconscious long before but it still doesn't change the fact that it is not the most common injury and Brook has suffered identical versions of it to his right and left in successive fights, how many other fighters can you name that have fractured both orbital bones, let alone fracturing them both one after the other?

Thats why he quit on Saturday, he's already admitted that he thought about what the surgeon who operated on him after the GGG fight said to him after his eye socket got smashed again.

"A few more punches on your eye could have left you blind"

Is it wise to fight on with that in your mind during a fight?

Its hard to come back and be the same fighter once you've had one beating like that......let alone two

I think he's finished personally and should retire a wealthy, healthy man.

Problem for Brook is that if they both retired tom, Amir Khan has hands down beaten more top names than him and that will kill Brook for the rest of his life so it'd be no surprise if the Khan fight happens.
