Miguel Cotto vs. Antonio Margarito - Analysis

For those of you whom I didn't mention PLEASE man, no hard feelings. As I said I rushed through it and wasn't prepared or anything it was a last minute thing. I mean it's fucken 12:30 at night here so again my apologies...

Also I was thinking we could somehow set it up so that for an up coming fight one of us does an analysis for the fight and how he thinks the fight will go. For example the next big fight is going to be Zab vs. Clottey so someone can do a video analysis on how they think the fight will go. Just a thought.

Cool deal bro, I think you pretty much got it but the strange thing is everyone thinks Toni is the bigger tougher guy and they forget Cotto has more KO's.

I think Cotto's boxing skill wins him the fight and if he is drawn into a brawl it favors Margarito in a Hagler-Hearns type fight

Tell you what thats the beauty of the fight game, we can dissect it 10 ways to Texas but when these guys get in the ring they make it a reality.. There are so many dynamics involved in this fight and a fair amount of scenarios that can play out... Conventional wisdom points at Cotto for being more polished and fundamentally sound, were as Margarito is a Blitzkreig who besides having relentless will, determination and stamina does nothing exceptionally well except win... May the best man be victorious, there 2 fantastic men who deserves the utmost respect...

You have the same thoughts as me, as far as Margarito taking the early rounds, while Cotto figures him out, and then Cotto taking over in the 4th or 5th round.

I also agree that Margarito could hurt Cotto at some point. Cotto has shown in the past that he knows what to do when hurt, he always maintains his composure, so I'm sure he'll keep his wits about him, if he gets hurt.

As far as him switching it up, I think it will still happen, that's part of his rhythm, so I don't see that changing.

Great analysis but i must disagree and say that i think Cotto will win the first few rounds and loose the mid rounds but he will win the last rounds and i do believe that Margo will, like you said, have to go for the knock out in the end.... and thats where BAMMM... nice analysis CMM but I'm more of a Cotto fan than Margarito. So my prediction would be Cotto by UD or split decision or late KO.
