Chavez Jr. (36-0-1, 29 KOs), the Son of the Legend, will face "The Predator" Matt Vanda (38-6, 21 KOs), the big puncher from St. Paul, Minn. on Top Rank's "Latin Fury 5" on July 12 in Monterey, Mexico. Also IBF light fly champion Ulises Solis (26-1-2, 20 KOs) will defend vs. Glenn Donair (17-3-1, 9 KOs) in the opening televised bout. No PPV, it will be available free on the Azteca America network in the US.

If Chavez Jr. loses to Vanda, we will know he's a fraud. Chavez should get past him since I don't think he's foolish enough to fight Vanda in Minnesota.

They really need to step up Chavez's competition. Vanda lost to Andy Kolle, Anthony Bonsante, and he should have lost the Campos and Troy Lowry fights. His win over Campos is won of the worst decisions I've ever seen. People complain that Campos got robbed against Duddy, but it was nothing compared to the hose job Yory Boy took in the Vanda fight.
