The first and most obvious time was of course when he beat him, and put another "L" on Oscar's record.
But when you think about it, Floyd messed with Oscar's precious legacy a 2nd time. When? When he KO'd Hatton, that's when. By KO'ing Hatton, Floyd made him unatractive to the Golden Boy as a possible "legacy-making" opponent, thereby forcing DLH to go even FURTHER down in the weight categories to find an elite fighter on which to cement his legacy. And the next one in line was..... Pacquiao. Good thing Pacquiao didn't lose also, or we'd be hearing Mr. Legacy hyping a fight with Ivan Calderon, saying how the size difference is not so great and how dangerous an opponent Ivan really is.
Funny thing is... DLH would've likely beaten Hatton, who has proven more than once that he has no business being at 147. So DLH would've had his easy "legacy-making" victory, and ridden off into the sunset. Curse that darn Pretty Boy Floyd, for messing with Oscar's legacy. Not just once, but twice.
