Cool Video. I have never seen it before
Not wanting to come across as a smart a*z or "Mr knowit all"
Im Canadian and worked in alberta and the nwt and yukon
inuvik, aklavik, yellowknife, norman wells, and Tuktoyuktuk (look that one up!)
The bear in the video is not really a grizzly (not that you said it is!)
it is a small female brown bear maybe 400 pounds
Grizzlys are large Mature Brown bears usually male with some whitish or "grizzled" hairs
The largest ever recorded male grizzley bear was shot in alaska and weighed.....(ready?) 2200 pounds!
its paws were 22" across and its claws were 8" long and 3" thick at the base
a large grizzly bear would be as tall as the cariboo is at the shoulder and if it stood in front of the cariboo in the video, would block it out.
The cariboo is about 1200-1500 pounds
    Even a small 400 female killed that cariboo..Imagine a 1500 pounder!
The bear in movies used most often is called "bart" and weighs 1500 pound (but he's bit fat! lol)
Kodiak Island in alaska is famous for its huge, brown or "grizzly" bears due the the abundance of spawning salmon which allow the bears to reach large weights
These bears, while normal brown bears, are refered to as
"Kodiak" Grizzlies and may be the largest bears in the world reaching close to the One ton mark

My first son is now 14 years old and his name is
    Kodiak Johnathan Henderson

All his freinds (and us) call him KoKo

His mom still calls him KoKo bear....
here he is in Palm springs...

The biggest Black Bear killed in North Carolina was over 600 pounds....not too shabby I must say.

You'd figure the mountains had more bears but actually the coastal area has a ton of bears....you would never know because they don't come out a whole bunch but they are there, you can see tracks and so on.
