Default Come to think of it, PBF has twice messed with DLH's legacy

The first and most obvious time was of course when he beat him, and put another "L" on Oscar's record.

But when you think about it, Floyd messed with Oscar's precious legacy a 2nd time. When? When he KO'd Hatton, that's when. By KO'ing Hatton, Floyd made him unatractive to the Golden Boy as a possible "legacy-making" opponent, thereby forcing DLH to go even FURTHER down in the weight categories to find an elite fighter on which to cement his legacy. And the next one in line was..... Pacquiao. Good thing Pacquiao didn't lose also, or we'd be hearing Mr. Legacy hyping a fight with Ivan Calderon, saying how the size difference is not so great and how dangerous an opponent Ivan really is.

Funny thing is... DLH would've likely beaten Hatton, who has proven more than once that he has no business being at 147. So DLH would've had his easy "legacy-making" victory, and ridden off into the sunset. Curse that darn Pretty Boy Floyd, for messing with Oscar's legacy. Not just once, but twice.

Not just once, not just twice, but THRICE!!!

PBF paved the way to Hoya-PAC fight by demanding a very large money (I've heard $50M) for the Hoya rematch... He didn't get his demand and he hurriedly retired...

PAC should thank PBF for that... and Larry Merchant and Dan Rafael too...

Naaaaah, ODLH doesn't need ANYBODY at the moment to leave his mark in boxing. People will remember him for so many reasons and all people that dislike him won't be able to change that. What ODLH has accomplished inside and outside the ring many boxers wish they could.

I'm still smarting from DLH gassing against PBF.
However Chino is right PBF/DLH were already amongst the greats before things hit the fan and got $political$

De la Hoya should have fought Margarito....the fans want that more than De la Hoya-Pacquiao, the only guys wanting that are #1 The guys who think Oscar has nothing left and needs to go out with a win #2 The rabid Pacquiao fans #3 People who don't know any better.

    This fight is ridiculous

I must admit I wanted to see ODLH V Marg more than Pac but I will still pay for it if its PPV here in the UK (ODLH V Mayweather was not).

It happens allt he time with boxers who dominate and caused an impact in boxing and are about to retire. "...*groan* Oooooh he should have fought X...*groan* Oooooh he would have convinced me if he fought X...". You can never make the fans happy.

ODLH winning this one or not, the IMPACT he has done in boxing cannot be taken away, sorry.

Yes, DLH has done a lot for boxing (coddled from the beginning by the press, but nonetheless has still done a lot for boxing). That much is true.

But..... he STILL doesn't have the COJONES to face Margarito, just like he wouldn't have had the cojones to face Cotto had he won.
