FNF 7/17/09 Prescott vs. Vazquez
Lady and Gentlemen.
He comes the next chapter in "The prospect that was never supposed to be". Hard hitting Colombian (albeit with more skills that most of his countrymen) Breidis Prescott is trying to put another interesting fight under his belt. After the one round destruction of Amir Khan, Prescott stepped in against (the only active Equadorian fighter I know of) Humberto Toledo. In that match Toledo tried an unorthodox approach which didn't seem to phase Prescott. Toledo became more and more frustrated and increased dirty desperation tactics crescendoing to a 10th round DQ via neck bite in a clinch.
His opponent Miguel Vazquez has been coming down in weight over the years, bouncing back and forth between Light Welter and Welter. To be honest I don't know much about Vazquez, but he has only lost to very good competition (Saul Alvarez x2 and Timothy Bradley)
The undercard features Cuban phenoms Erislandy Lara (taking on durable Journeyman Darnell Boone) and Guillermo Rigondeaux (against some dude from Arizona that's had 8 fights in 13 years as a pro and has no power)
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
