    Default Do you dance?

Many people around the world dance. There are many styles of dance and different kinds of music to dance to. I imagine in Afghanistan where music was banned, they just danced to the strains of the breeze in the air. Dancing is something I have never understood. I do not partake in it myself. I look at others dancing and just think 'You look really, really stupid'. I guess it is one reason I never dance, but I also do not get the urge to dance. I like to walk, or occasionally punch the air, but I do not dance. Maybe it is some kind of mating ritual, but if it is I am surprised it works. Maybe it is for the simple people of the world, the people that lack sentence structures, lexical variation or the random genetic luck of a pretty face. Dancing is perhaps for the more animalistic among us to invite other more animalistic types into a pre-mating frenzy. I am only guessing for I do not dance and do not understand the process. I am pretty and verbose and have no need to shake my booty. It is just not for me.

So, my second Christmas Day poser is this.....Do you dance? You may also offer an explanation of your vote if you are still sober enough. Thank you for your kind attendance. Merry Christmas, Saddomites!

If you gonna have a wife you have to be able to dance, In a moderately cheerful and catchy rhythms to some thing called music. For no one can just step up to a girl and say, you’ll come home with me.
First you have to dance your ass off until three o’clock, then maybe you will

But if you miss both boldness and courage and like techno, disco and funk it’s not much i can tell you

If you go out on a weekday and you are shy, and go home at twelve because you have no fun
it’s a bad sign, but on a saturday night you be out all night, till every place shutting down and hopefully getting really drunk, then you without difficulty can step forward and bid up every cocky madame,
In the midst of such a night in search of sin, I be damned if i don’t find your dream

And if i'm getting married, and the man in harmonious neck, exacts me a wedding waltz, and though I stand among genera in rented tuxedo, I say no without hesitation

I never dance sober somewhere/anywhere, Never no chance i do it, I will never dance sober
call it evasions if you want, Without any alcohol i be standing still.

I gave up dancing after Saturday Night Fever. My moves seem dated if I tried them now.

I sort of get what you are saying Miles, socially in clubs to pick up it looks silly and so obvious like hundreds of seals on beach on all rising up and bumping along slobbering over each other.
Its more difficult to dance if you have a pole up your ass from those thoughts so alcohol could be just the stick remover required.

I wouldnt mind learning basic rock n roll steps just for the exercise if out and making your woman attended to, as they seem to like that shit.

Dance can be amazing its art as well.

    This is on another level:

I used to be in a dance group that modeled itself after the LOCKERS. Floppy hats and knickers right through to zuit suits. We popped and locked. The closest thing to our style post 1985 would have been a guy names Shabadoo. 4 guys in our group. 2 black and 2 white. We traveled all through Canada and California. Old school funk based. I can still cut the rug.

I've nothing against people who dance, but just find it very strange. When I have a drink, I just want to talk and in bars they play the most terrible, cheesy music. So why anyone would get the urge to throw off a few moves is just beyond me. Not that I would even dance to good music, you should listen to the lyrics and just enjoy it. Waving my body around randomly is just not a very constructive thing to do. Dancing seems to be something almost primal, a relic from the cave, but now incited through alcohol and loudspeakers. I'm surprised they aren't surrounded by slabs of raw meat and genetically reconstructed woolly mammoths to complete the experience.

I know I could be branded a complete bore for not wanting to partake in a pre-orgy ritual or watch ballet which oftentimes seems to be a type of soft core pornography with the tight clothes and suggestive poses. To think they put all their time into essentially a high brow version of shaking one's booty. Then there are the likes of Miley Cyrus and I just think 'Whore'. That is just obscene and then little kids want to copy. Is it any wonder that society is going wrong and it all boils down to dance.

I guess if people are going to dance, then I think it should be tasteful and at the very least people should wear suits and nice dresses like in civilised times and in Audrey Hepburn and Fred Astaire's Funny Face.

I think I would start moving to the beat if this style came on.

Then again its only for all the movers and shakers in the sack.

I didn't sit through, Andre. I can understand the intent and how it is supposed to be sensual and sensitive, but I just find myself giggling at the seriousness of it all. Then when I see people dancing in a really fun way, I just get the rutting seals image you mentioned earlier, then when it is pop singers I just think 'Slut!'. Dancing provokes all of these responses in me, but I seldom sit there and think 'I need to do a bit of that'.

I'm honestly fine with people dancing, but they should never expect me to take them seriously, and they should never try to make me do it. It would be like a Sun newspaper journalist telling me that they write for a living. I would spit out me/my tea all over them in hysterics. 'You're a what? Bahahahaha!'. I know I am wicked.

I know I sound a bit gay, but I genuinely feel sorry for these pop tramps. They are encouraged to butcher their faces, get boob jobs, and then shake their skinny arses for adoring equally manipulated kids and leering old men in raincoats. The entire thing just seems sleazy, plus the music is horrible. I don't watch any music television or dramas, or anything where I think abuse is common, as one shouldn't endorse it.

In terms of being in a club and seeing prototypes acting like that. Actually, I would find it a turn off seeing them dancing like that. I would be thinking what on earth are you doing, silly child? No, I really am quite settled in my ways and wouldn't be terribly impressed. I feel like I am older and have a responsibility not to encourage them. I could never lie and say 'I say, I really think you have Gangnam Style down to a tee'. I would have to change the topic and say something like 'You should probably take a rest and have a relaxing cup of tea. Your face might melt'.

Lol no I dont but two of the guys I danced with for years went on and formed another group. Two of the guys from Street Scape danced with me for years. After I left they grabbed a couple of other guys. 3 out of 4 of them are from my home city. I found some footage of just after we parted ways and they did a pretend comparison. The tall white dude started the whole thing with me and this brought back some awesome memories

Being honest I've danced longer in my living room watching Maidana kick Broners ass than I have in any club, bar, or chicks bedroom for at least 5 years now
