Wouldnt we all love to know!
Wonder if this really is the end for Toney?
Would i be totally igonrant of me, if i blamed it all on Billy?

Nothing but hold the spit bucket. Ugh!
Teddy Atlas said it best with these words... "The scale doesn't lie."
I was dissapointed that there was no change in Toneys condition whatsoever... Obviously Blanks couldn't get the job done this time... But I think people are being quick to make a joke out of him or his joining TOneys camp... Just keep in mind that Billy Blanks has worked with a prime Sugar Ray Leonard and many other top athletes from various sports.. The guy is a fitness guru and certainly no joke, TOney just can't get in the shape he needs to anymore I would assume.
i think toney not getting in shape probably did have more to do with toney then blanks. toney doesn't strike me as being the easiest person to work with. i'm pretty sure i heard him said once the only thing he does to prepare for fights is spar.
i still have alot of respect for toney. he took some big shot and stood up to peter all night.
Yeah it still makes you wonder, I mean Blanks must have been supervising his roadwork or ensuring that he did do adequate weight training and plyometrics and such, not just sparring.... So you've got to figure that times simply ran out of Toney, maybe the years of just sparring and not eating properly have caught up with him and took their toll.. If that's the case it's not going to make a damn bit of difference what he does now..Originally Posted by 'The Boxer'
I think Toney was tighter but that was about it...Weight training could have done that...Of course that is the last thing he needed extra muscle to make him tighter....
Billy did prove that he has no business in the corner of a pro fight

Toney's age, eating, lifestyle, and non-running have finally caught up to him.
It wasn't Billy Banks fault, I don't think.
Billy was brought in the team as the "new edge" Toney would need to surpass the GIANT Nigerian Peter. Just as Erik brought in Velocity, Vargas changed his trainer, so did Mosley (Shane is doing good now though), Campas drank magical juice before the Oscar fight. It's just something boxers do in times of need, they look to other options to help give them an edge in times where their careers seem to hang in the balance.
Billy did EXACTLY what Toney and his camp asked him to do.
And it WASN'T to get Toney to lose weight. It was for him to up his cardio and take the fat of Toney and make it into muscle.
Blanks did EXACTLY that and its Toney's fault for not hiring him to get his weight down, I think the extra weight hurt Toney and took away from Toney's game.
So don't blame Billy Blanks for doing what Toney hired him to do. Toney should have hired him to help him lose weight instead of add muscle. It's Toney's fault not Billy's.
Tony appeared to be in better shape and certainly upped his punch output...I thought Toney was dellusional loading up thinking he would KO Sam, nuts...The fault lies 100% with James he was in better shape, yet he abandoned the jab and was loading up against a monster like Sam Peter...I believe if James would have fought the style that he beat Ruiz with Toney would have won, instead James Toney fought stupid...
i think blanks had him left weights a consintrated on body shpae and not fighting shape
collected a fat paycheck from a fat fuk who doesn't deserve the skills he's been blessed with.
i wasn't blaming blanks. it just didn't appear to me that toney benifitted form working with blanks.
Thats Toney's fault, Blanks added muscle because thats what James and his camp wanted. Maybe next time he should say "get my weight down"Originally Posted by 'The Boxer'
