Arlovski was a champion boxer when he was in the Belerusian police.

Its a heavyweight so i think he can make a splash.

This also confirms that dana White shows no loyalty to his fighters once they decline even former champions.

Even if he's mediocre, which he'll be at the very least, he'll still make more money in boxing than he ever made in mma. But I'm guessing that he's good enough even right now to be a legit HW contender. Same goes for Mark Hunt. These guys can hit hard enough to compete, and are both skilled enough at standup to make an immediate impact.

Right now I'd LOVE to see Hunt and Tua go at it.

I don't think its an easy transition going either way. Andrei is a tremendous athlete with good pop and hand speed but I don't think he really can compete at this point with most top 25 boxers. It really baffles me that people think that b/c someone is a top player in their respective combat sport that they can just seemlessly transition to another. On another note Andrei didn't get dropped by UFC b/c he lost he got dropped b/c of the passivity of the way he won his last fights. Dana is a dirtbag but if you watch Andrei in his last fights it wasn't the same guy much less entertaining.

That's true Van, the transition isn't easy, but I think AA is just good enough to be a threat. I guess also he's helped by the fact that the HW division is weak at the moment. I mean, let's face it, AA's right hand is strong enough to floor ANYONE if it connects. I think these facts, along with his pure athleticism, would be enough to bring him up to speed very quickly.

I also think that AA has some great fights left in him. I think he at least TRIED to engage with Werdum, but it was Werdum who was the guy who was boring. Yes he was boring against Sylvia but I think TS was in his head and had his number.

He has good size and no fear I'd love to see him get serious in the sport and not flip flop between the two.
