Default Emanuel “The Drunken Master” Augustus

Emanuel “The Drunken Master” Augustus (38-29-6, 20 KOs), who recently acquired the vacant WBO Oriental welterweight belt in his last bout, has relocated to Las Vegas where he will train with Roger Mayweather. “I want to let all my future opponents know that Emanuel Augustus is on a mission to win a world title,” he says

I always love watching him fight but does anyone think he'd have a chance at winning a world title, if he is serious maybe light welter would be the easier option? thoughts?

He's entertaining but still competitive......i don't think so. I see him as the type of guys to test prospects and give them a test to see if they are ready for the next level.

He has almost no chance against a top 10 welter, let alone one of the belt holders. I like watching him though.

You could see he was on the slide way back against Jaime Rangel. He probably still has enough to beat "prospects" that don't really have it but not top guys or even top prospects.

Always great to watch though, or at least used to be.

    I think he should've stayed at 140.

Yep,agreed as above. The man had something special.Went back and re watched the Olivera fight again. One of the most bizarre affairs Ive ever seen.Sucra was Holding his head and still throwing punches...screaming.If any thing,Augustus can also be called a humanitarian, He made it a point after that to NOT throw any thing to Rays head, threw ALL body shots and was pulling many of them.Just Insane fight, sad really. He's on the other side and Welterweight will not bode well for him.

Emanuel Augustus formerly known as Emanuel Burton = one of my favorite ATHLETES to watch = the hardest fight of Floyd Mayweather's career (according to Pretty Boy Floydd himself).

If you've watched him, anything is possible with this guy. Depends on which Drunken Master shows up . . . the yellow belt or the black belt.

Augustus could be succesful at 140.
He could beat Malignaggi, Bradley and Torres.
An in form Hatton beats him mind, Holt may or may not beat him.

If Hatton retires I don't think there's anyone that could beat Augustus at 140.

I agree, although Holt could be good.

The beauty of watching Augustus fight is that he makes fights entertaining, I agree that a fight with Holt would be good, but Augustus IMO is a level above.

I like him as entertainment value, but if dont know if he'll last with being put in with the likes with serious fighters the likes of Pacman who's on his way up.Then again it'll be interesting to see how he operates under Mayweather.I like watching him.You never know he could be as big as our Prince Naz.

Augustus is indeed a level above and perhaps I'm overrating Holts potential.

But I do think that Kendall can develop and become quite a good champion, although at the mo, Augustus would dominate him.
