Arce TKO'd Rojas with a devastating left hook to the rib cage in the 6th round.
That was expected
1st I gotta applaud the spanish station TV Azteca for stepping up and putting on a great show tonight.
4 very entertaining fights from begining to end.
Did you expect Arce to lose the first 5 rounds also? Arce was getting beaten badly and had to reach down and pull one out of his special place, no pun intended.Originally Posted by Violent Demise
Might have very well saved his career with that punch.

Now I gotta say the following.
Rojas gave Arce a lot of trouble his southpaw style, tall, long reach and hand speed at points were overwhelming Arce. But Arce never let off, he kept throwing punches and attacked as often as possible Rojas fought well throughout the entire fight until Arce threw a devastating left hook to the ribs that dropped Rojas for a 9 count but he just couldn't continue.
Credit to Arce for taking this kind of fight, not the quality as far as Rojas but more in styles. It's obvious the tall, southpaw stance gives Arce trouble but he took this fight head on and won.
Also Edgar Sosa won via TKO in the 9th round when he stopped the very game Lorenzo Trejo. Sosa started a little too slow in the 1st few rounds but then let off, throwing combinations and putting punches together well. Trejo was game as he brought the pressure but Sosas skill was a little too much for him as he went to the ropes in the 9th round and Sosa with a barrage of punches prompted ref. Tony Weeks to jump in and stop the fight.
Jorge Paez Jr. in a 6 round fight went the distance in a fight which I think he could have won via stoppage. Instead he stoped throwing punches and was content with outboxing his opponent.

Anyway! back to the topic here...
Now that Arces moved up to 118 (Bantam) should he stay there and fight?
Who should he fight next?
Since he picked up the a version of the WBC belt, can a fight against Hasegawa be in the horizon?
Hasegawa is ALSO a southpaw more defensive then aggressive but still I think Hasegawa might be a little too elusive for Arce and will cause Arce a lot of problems.
Call me crazy or whatever but for some reason I would like to see him fight Silence Mabuza I think their styles would make for a very interesting fight. Mabuzas already proven he can bang with some of the best and is ranked amongst the best at Bantam.
What about Arce v Martin Castillo. He is on the comeback trail right?Originally Posted by CutMeMick
I think a fight between Arce and Luis Perez would be a war.Originally Posted by CutMeMick
