At least for me, anyway.

I watched both local guys (Verdejo, Pedraza) live..... and DVR'ed the Wilder and the Walters fights.

Pedraza was impressive over Klimov, gaining one of the 130-lb belts. I wanted a knockout... but Klimov was a tough cookie. He's never been stopped and never been down, and I can see why. Was nice seeing Puerto Rico get another champion.

Verdejo was just as impressive in his win over Ivan Najera. I'm just a bit worried about his hands... he seemed to hurt his left hand in the fight. I hope he doesn't have a brittle hand problem. So locally..... a wonderful night.

Wilder-Molina was more exciting than I thought it was gonna be.... and I'm glad Wilder won. But his stock has gone down in my eyes. He holds his hands way too low, and he got rocked a few times by Molina. I can only imagine what a Wlad would do. He probably gets Povetkin next, his mandatory. I'll be rooting for Wilder, if only because Povetkin has already gotten his crack at Wlad and came away empty.

Finally... Walters-Marriaga was a pretty good fight as well. They're both excellent technicians... but I found myself feeling sorry for Marriaga, who was outweighed by 10 pounds. He's a hard puncher, so Walters has a better chin than I thought.

All in all..... a great night of boxing!
