Not quite the fireworks i thought quite yet but its an interesting fight.

Ponce's cut on top of his had to be from a headbutt?
Great punch from De Leon, Gonzalez was badly hurt.
I get the feeling that Gonzalez will get stopped late on.
Gonzalez lucky not to topple to the floor outside the ring, he got caught good.
PDl really pouring it on, Jhonny looked wilting last round. He throws those brutal 'axe handle' type shots
Well he did get stopped but not in the way i thought, but i think De Leon edges it he scored a knockdown and started to impose his will later in the fight.
Good decision De Leon would of probably of stopped him late on anyway, i think Gonzalez was happy it was stopped.
Ohhhhh wow . Crap ending on a nasty cut but PDl wins title on tech dec. You could see the tide turning
Wow this sucks both main events are going to start round about the same time, guess i'll have to watch Canelo vs Lopez tomorrow.
Technical UD for Ponce, on to the main = Canelo vs. Lopez - come on Lopez, you can do it dude.
In other news: Canelo stops Lopez in the 5th round.
Canelo Alvarez defends belt, stops Josesito Lopez in fifth round - ESPN
Some say it was stopped early, but i'm not so sure, Lopez was looking done. Like him or not Canelo is a tough kid, and built like a brick shithouse. Cotto/Canelo would be a fucking war, i'd love to see it.
Yup, you were correct, Lopez isn't in the same league with Alvarez, and actually his win over Ortiz was a bit of a fluke, although he showed a big heart in that fight.
Hmmm, Cotto vs. Canelo I wonder who @Diane will be pulling for.
Alvarez throws such surgical shots, his combinations are fast and accurate. Really enjoy watching him. The knockdown in round 4 was beautiful.
No matter who he is in with, he seems to keep getting better. I wasn't sure of him at first, but he is the real deal, future hall of famer I think. Going to be a real gem in his generation of fighters.
