Spinks would bob & weave inside those long arms and and fire those criisp 4- 5- punch combinations inside, that he punished Muhammad Ali with. Spinks wins this one.

Only thing I can predict about Leon: is that each year at the BHOF, Leon and I will be drinkin' buddies.
The Golden Era encapsulated perfectly....
A featherfist punchbag with Parkinsons taking on a drug addicted 195lb Cruiser, 6-0 green, 26-17 career bum for the Heavyweight Championship of the World...
And losing.
And then avenging...
Possibly the lowest point in Heavyweight history!

Vitali would be charged with murder. Unlike his little brother, Vitali competes and is most likely a dominate player in any era of heavyweight boxing

You have to admit though the old school really did punch it out, they left it all in the ring no questions left there, they had balls and grit determination for 15 rounds, we owe to them the most exciting times in boxing.
Say what you want not many of this generation leave it all in the ring they control the ring and their opponent more though,I know what i like to see happen thats why I look to where I do;
Top level minimum weights to feather seem to leave it all in there still, they cant survive by plodding around looking to control.
Hmmn, I have a really strong view about this one ........ I can't think of a single way that Leon would trouble Vitali.
Spinks was never an elite heavyweight to be honest, whereas Vitali was huge, powerful, granite chin and was as hard as nails. Somewhat robotic, but he always had a fighters heart.
If Leon tries to keep it at a distance, making hit and run attacks, he gets tied up, leaned on and worn down. As soon as he gets tired enough to allow Vitali to advance on him, he gets sparked out by a huge right cross.
If he tries to punch it out, he gets crushed.
No disrespect to Leon, as he was as game as they come, but I don't think he has the weaponry to even come close to winning this.
If God wanted us to be vegetarians, why are animals made of meat ?
Horrible style match up for Leon. I think better match ups from that era would be Sonny Liston (earlier, I know), George Foreman, Larry Holmes, and Ernie Shavers. Vitali was very tough to beat, for sure, but those guys all had attributes that I think match up better with his style.
Troll thread:P Leon Spinks wouldn't have stood a chance against either Klitschko, it would have looked like his fight with Larry Holmes at BEST. He was very lucky to get a fight with such a spent Muhammad Ali when he did, otherwise he may have gone right to journeyman status, let alone never been a world champion.
Yes they did. They went hard.
Similar can be said for old school football and stuff too. It was "rougher" in a sense.
There are still throw backs like it at heavy I reckon. Generally the less skilled boxers tend to slug it out. And the successful ones like this at top level are often very strong, powerful or have a solid chin.
Of course I believe the reason the lighter weights still go at it harder is because the stakes are much lower. The punch is more bareable.
I admit that Wladimir is a little boring to watch.
However I loved watching Vitali fight, he belted the living shit out of his opponents. Surely you'd find him more watchable @Andre?
