Larry Holmes was also 48-0 when the Brocktonblockbuster said "Here comes 48-1, bitch!"
OK I'll kick the karma back in here:
Rocky couldn't carry Floyd's jockstrap.

It happened to Paul Spadafora recently too, he was 48-0 and then took his first loss.
Maybe that's why Floyd chose an easier fight for his 49th.

Floyd will pick an even easier opponent for #50. No need to worry about Floyd, Cesar Cuenca will probably fight to 55-0 and then retire.
If I was Cesar I'd start watching my back, Floyd might pay to have both his arms and legs broken! LOL
Rocky beat Muhammad Ali even after he "died", as his 13th Round knockout of Ali was announced in January 1970.
Then Rocky beat Larry Holmes via the Spinks Jinx in 1985/6.
Then as @Beanflicker said Spafafora got hit at 48-0 with a doooozy of a Soooozy Q
Floyd is fucked up the ass as Rocky Marciano " couldn't carry Mayweather's jockstrap"
Marciano fought like 4 guys(at the most) who were legitimate challengers although every single one was at least half shot, and not one great current HW. Chavez Sr could have retired at almost 100-0 after having been a dominant champion for a good while, but nobody would really consider that to be a championship record by any means. Why is Marciano treated so differently, just because he retired? Floyd has already destroyed his record, as have many many others.
Larry would have destroyed Marciano

It ends at 50 and 0
Rocky Marciano through sheer training and conditioning would wear down any fighter in the modern era.
Derek Chubby Chisora, Chris "Burrito Nose" Arreola, Davie-Boy Price, Lamon Brewster, etc. All would wither under the onslaught.
No, Marciano would have beaten everyone through sheer training, because nobody trains anymore. Marciano comes from a time when fighters were real fighters, even though there weren't any good natural HWs on the planet during his entire career, those were the hardest men in history he fought, all of them. Holmes never fought guys who had to sweep hallways, or drive a garbage truck all day before they trained, he couldn't have lived with those kind of gritty and determined warriors.
