    Default They banned boxing..

So let's pretend it's the last year of boxing..boxing is to be banned from 2019..what x5 match ups with current fighters would you want to see before boxing is gone forever.

    1. Wilder vs Joshua
    2. Spence vs Thurman
    3. Kovalev vs Jack
    4. Crawford vs Lomo (catchweight)
    5. BJS vs GGG.

(Fury would be on the list if he was fit and fighting)

How dare you ban boxing, there would be no forum.

Absolutely Genius idea for a thread. Nothing like jeopardy to help you focus...

    Mind has gone blank

Thurman v Spence so Thurman can finally prove he is the best.
Crawford v Garcia the best v the best.
Saunders v Eubank Junior 2 - see if Junior has improved
Groves v GGG see if triple G can go up in weight.
Kov v Bivol as I want to see bully Kov get beat again.

    Novelty fights
    Arum v King
    AJ v Floyd

    Crawford vs Garcia..not that fussed.

Junior has not improved on his boxing skills...a fit BJS gives him a much better boxing lesson.

GGG against Groves would be interesting.

Mate, did you not see him fight Groves? He has not fuckin improved! What has he shown to be involved in mega match ups ? Some people just don’t see what is in front of them. For me:
Crawford v Spence - Best of the Best.
Garcia v Loma - Next Best of the Best.
Kovalev v Bivol - Rise of the new big thing.
Selby v Santa Cruz - skill v volume of punches .
And if DeGale regained his title , Groves v DeGale II - can’t resist a bit of Nostalgia.
1st reserve - AJ v Fury (If Fury can pull off the miraculous comeback.)

I'd request Thurman v Spence jr! Now technically the sport won't end until these matches come off right? Shoot we're good for at least another 3,4 years. Call in the lawyers and bog this ban down in the courts on breech of contract of something. Just clinging on, I can't lose boxing. It's the most rewarding cheating relationship I've ever known

Good list. Only I would substitute Stevenson for Jack, only because I'd like to see Adonis stretched out before boxing is gone forever.

    No particular order

    1. Lomachenko v Linares - lucky for us they don't need to ban boxing for it to happen
    2. Joshua v Wilder - Can't see it living up to the Wlad/Joshua fight but you never know
    3. BJS v Golovkin - It's intriguing and it may again happen without the ban
    4. Brook v Khan - Have to have an all British affair but Brook/Lara or Brook/Charlo would both be acceptable too
    5. Throw a dice - Canelo v Kovalev 180kg limit at least they would be the same weight Haye V Fury make it happen, a Battle of the mouths and a return to the booths

Actually I might put Haye v Fury in my list. 1st time round I was really looking forward to it and I loved the pre-fight hype.

You could not get two more polarised 'heavyweights'. It would be fun while it lasted if you managed to get them both through a training camp without some crap scuppering it.

Why? When they were scheduled to fight , Haye was a top fighter and Fury was an unbeaten prospect. And they’re both good value out of the ring.
