Baseball is a great game. I was born not far from Fenway Park. Boston is a great city, and a great sport city.

Game 2, and the Red Sox draw first blood. 1-0 Red Sox on an RBI single by Kinsler.
Shit. Dodger pitcher Ryu seems commanding tonight. 2-1 lead holds and I gotta wonder how much Price has left. Would like to travel to LA with a 2-0 Series lead.
Ryu out of the game.... YEAH!
Damn... that last at bat to load the bases with 2 outs took FOREVER. Was about to recommend setting up a sofa for the catcher over by the mound.
Madsen comes in to relieve. C'mon Sox!! Base-clearing hit please.
Yep.
Ryu must be sick. He left with the Dodgers leading 2-1, and now it's 4-2 Red Sox. Yeah!!
Last chance for the Dodgers. Down 4-2 top of the ninth. Hope Kimbrel does his job.
It's over.
Kimbrel mows them down (like "toothless, smelly, caravan peasants") in the 9th and Boston wins 4-2....... to take a 2-0 Series lead.
Now it's on to Los Angeles (unless it's overrun by Honduran refugees).
The US Eagles national rugby team are a very decent second tier team these days. They are there with Samoa, Tonga and the likes of Georgia which is not bad at all. I suspect they would give the Tier 1 Italians a good run for their money.
It isn't a team of foreigners either, all home grown talent. Good blokes, many of whom play their trade in Wales at the moment.
Not sure why the game isn't as big over there. Most Americans watch NFL but it's a fallacy to say that is the reason .... they are completely different games and we have so many failed attempts by players from both codes to cross over. Jus because you are good at one of them does not at all mean you would good at the other.
Anybody can qualify to play in the rugby World Cup, and the Americans have made it to a few in the past.
If God wanted us to be vegetarians, why are animals made of meat ?
