Get Inoue to the States again. If they're throwing around Robinson and Leonard comparisons it would just be nice to see him. Great performance and helluva finisher.
the obvious p4p #1 for me. Love Bud but mass activity matters

Very nice and humble interview from Inoue.
Nery getting some love from the fans which is good to see.
They are lining the next victim for Inoue, who is he, sounded Australian.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Are those girls automaton's. Didn't realize Espn doesn't even have a live commentator or personnel there?
That right uppercut, right hand combination at the end was sharp. Inoue's left hook was also on display. Generating power to score a knockdown with such a short shot while also going backwards was impressive and his judging of distance was impeccable as he avoided Nery's shots by an inch to land his counter.
They live, We sleep
We are at a point now were the only way Monster loses is if he moves up too high
I knew Inoue was going to summon his inner Ivan Drago and brutalize Nery and Yamanaka would be avenged.
BUT
This fight was at the Tokyo Dome. That means this was the first championship boxing match there since the legendary Tyson vs Douglas upset in 1990 and upset was maybe on the cards in Rnd1 when Inoue went down.
But Inoue was very intelligent because he knew he was shaken. If he tried to do the macho "I'm not hurt" routine and had got up instantly ? Then he risks a Zab Judah and fall down again
I am of the opinion that a weak chin is not about getting knocked down, it's about whether or not you get back up and how you get back up. He got caught flush while loading up to throw a shot, usually when you get hit like that you don't get up, but Inoue was in complete control of his faculties, was smart enough to stay down and take the count to maximise his recovery, got up and made Nery go down like a puppet with their strings cut.
An all-time great boxer can have his legs turned to jelly, but the brain doesn't turn to jelly.
There is something inside of them that enables them to get out of trouble and survive and win. Inoue kept his composure, shook it off, and went on to win the fight
I think Inoue’s chin is a solid 8/10. His chin in the class Duran, Foreman, Floyd, Pac meaning only a perfect punch can knock them out. Inoue has moved up multiple divs, fighting the best at every weight, and only been knocked down once.
However his chin is a notch below Hagler, Oliver McCall, GGG who had mandibles made of titanium
For those who say "Inoue has to come to the US'' brigade". Are you just mad that there's this small Japanese fighter knocking everyone out, meanwhile the face of boxing Canelo is on a little KO drought, and that's his style now, points coasting.
Why isn't there a desire for Americans to leave America ? Floyd never left America. Ward never left America (I don't think Ward ever left Oakland), Wilder never left America during his reign.
What USA fighter has a chance against Inoue ? Brandon Figueroa ? Gimme a break
And can you name one American fighter who can pack out a stadium with 55,000 ? Or even remotely close to that?
Tank ? Nope. Crawford ? Nope. Jake Paul ? Nope
If any US fighters want that Inoue smoke you better get your asses over to Tokyo. The King doesn't leave his castle for peasants.

The Monster!
I think we're on the cusp of witnessing a special one
Both Inoue's were down in the 1st round of their fights
Both came back to dominate
Shingo Inoue deserves more praise

sounds like sam goodman has turned down fighting naoya in september & is taking a fight in july instead. i think his team want to wait for naoya to move up so he can get a shot at a vacant belt. he should drop in the ratings for turning down a shot at the undisputed belt no less
