I think he is much better as an analyst. I am not big on his teaching of holding tactics as a strategy , It mucks up boxing offensive flow which causes horrible lags during rounds not to mention is illegal as hell to implement it as strategy . . Good post, man. The grappling should be left to MMA. I'm in total agreement with this assessment.
However, it's a testament to Manny's 'Genius' as a trainer that he uses the rules against the sport and protects his fighters (in most cases) from taking unnecessary punishment.
#370 True. That ! .. Boxing commissions need to enforce that holding rule , especially in high profile fights, if for no other reason then it turns casual fans off to the sport ,
When fans see fighters in the ring holding on to each other , it makes for a bad watch and kills any positive momentum for the future of boxing matches being televised and so forth .
