Hell, Ishe should fight Alfonso Gomez next in a rematch, since neither of them can live up to their nicknames.

Yeeeeeeh......Me so happy.Get him a kleenex..Ok,Ok it was nip & tuck a tad but Im glad Smith was delt some reality.
Great War coming up in this 'classic'...Robisons moment(s) of glory
Yeah but he did not fight as an effective counter puncher IMO...Avoiding and returning is all good and I love a good counter puncher but He spent more time avoiding the actually countering...he needed to keep busier you cant throw back every 30n secods and consider it effective counter punching...
Though at times I did feel the punch stats were a bit off for some reason

It's the Calzaghe/Hopkins fight all over again just more boring, the weak volume shots won out.
Gatti thought Robison was another Grove......He wasnt even that smooth this One went into the record books I believe?
I think Ishe Smith Has Feigned confidence.I would have liked more pressure from Julio but he did switch it up nice
I fell asleep! Honestly, I fell asleep. Bizarre wasn't expecting that, only got to the 7th or 8th round probably but was as boring as I thought it was going to be.
I was really hoping Julio would have caught Smith with something heavy in the middle rounds, but he looked patient and didn't load up too often.
As far as the judges go remember they don't have the advantage of seeing all angles of the fight, if Smith's back was turned to them it would have appeared that all of Julio's body shots were landing.
VD said is best when he said Smith lost that fight because of inactivity. When he was pumping the jab Julio was nullified and couldn't get anything going, but we didn't see that often enough from Smith.
Damn I think I'm like 1-50 in picking fight's.Anyway I recorded it last night and the last two rounds were cut out f**king DVR.Smith just wasn't busy enough.
I'm not really gonna comment on the fight cause I only seriously watched rounds 6-8 (I think, could have been 5-7) but I thought Ishe won those rounds and Teddy was not giving him much credit if any. Maybe he gave him one of the rounds? Kept on going on about how he wasn't doing anything when that was the busiest I've ever seen Ishe. Looked pretty good IMO.
And I can't stand him so I"m not biased in the least.
Anyway can't say who won overall I was just surprised Ishe wasn't getting more credit for the parts I was watching.
Smith would get rid of all of his worries if he could find a way to hit without getting hit better. His defense is great we all already know that, but even in fights where he probably lands more clean shots than his opponet it's the small amount of punches he throws that is why he looses. He'll throw two shots maybe landing one then blocks for the next 45 seconds cause he knows julio is getting ready to throw about 50 since smith punching is the only time you're gonna get an opening. Throwing 50 landing 3 always looks better than throwing 2 and landing one, that's an exaggeration but you guys know what i mean. Smith just doesn't want to take a chance of getting hit....with anything at all. Now in the 10th where he did open up a bit you saw how bad his "d" is when he decides to throw shots himself, but if he could fight that way for imo for as many as just two more rounds each time he fought he would get those tight decisions. I was also impressed how julio saw he wasn't gonna land anything and instead of tiring himself out he went joe calzaghe style and pity patted and looked busy occasionally throwing some hard stuff in-between. Smart kid.
