Id almost forgotten witter existed. so his idea of getting his name about by using khans has worked i spose. Still it would be nicer if he backed Khan...more hate towards witter from me now.
"It wasn't the night of the jab"
at least in my case it's not hate, it's just flat out the truth, a win over Kotelnik doesn't really mean much, i mean he already has losses to M'Baye (who isn't anything special) and a loss to Witter, his biggest win is against Gavin Reese for cryin out loud, Khan needs to focus at 135 seeing how the biggest tests have pretty much moved out of the division, so now would be the perfect time for him to take advantage
there's:
Joan Guzman
Juan Diaz
Edwin Valero
Michael Katsidis
Ali Funeka
David Diaz
Breidis Prescott
Anthony Peterson
even
Joel Casamayor
I think it's a good fight for Khan and a title fight is a title fight, no it won't mean much but (so far...) frank warren isn't hyping it up as if it's a mega fight. Many fighters have gone up in weight divisions and taken on weak champions, pac man is the first one that comes to my head.... but I guess only Khan gets slammed for it.
As for Khan staying at lightweight.. why? he wasn't comfortable with the weight and he BARELY made the limit for the Fagan fight. I've always said WW would be a better division for Khan... hopefully he'll maintain his speed and have a bit more pop in his punches.
So everyone says he sucks and has a glass chin and will get KO'd soon and doesn't deserve credit and that if he fights a top guy he'll get knocked out, but if he fights someone that he would fight when on the move up and back people bash him for not fighting the top guys of that division?

i dunno what your prob is, but it's the simple truth a win over Kotelnik means jack shit, doesn't matter who the hell it is that's fighting him, Khan should focus at 135, there are plenty of fights and good fights at that for him to go after, i'm not writing him off, i'm just not completely sold on him, and well getting ko'd in the 1st by an unknown has that effect, i wanna see if he can bounce back, and lets be honest, a win against a small old Barrera doesn't really do that, he looked good, now he should follow it up against another quality lightweight, doesn't have to be a title fight, whats the goddam rush anyways, a fight between Khan and Raheem would be good, and i'd favor Amir
Kotelnik got a gift against Maidana in his last fight, Kahn has the hand speed to trouble Kotelnik. Andriy has little power, and has a strap, hence the matchup being made. I actually hope Kahn beats Kotelnik and then fights Maidana. Maidana will destroy Kahn.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
I could careless about whatever Witter says. He called out and made tons trash talks about Hatton and got KTFO by Bradley.
Khan should have stayed put and proved himself at one weight rather than steal a championship slot. As for Witter, well he would say that wouldn't he..............always the bridesmaid never the bride..........just looking for attention.
Then I can hand on heart say he will never fight him.
Where is Prescott's title shot? Where is the re-match to prove the ko was a fluke?
Warren and Khan will continue to do good business together whilst Roach continues to whisper talk of greatness in to Amir's ear.
Khan will come out and say silly stuff about how Kotelnik is shit then two weeks later really respect him, how Barrera was great and how amazing he (khan) looked (no mention of the cut), how the punch Prescott threw would have ko'd anyone in the history of boxing, ever, fact. We'll call him a prick and he'll be counting his money.
