Matthew Macklin's win last weekend should have been for the vacant #10 spot at Middleweight.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

The Best There Is, The Best There Was, The Best There Ever Will Be
Just had some proposals for this week:
I vote that the winner of Grigory Drozd/ Darnell Wilson on the 2nd July should enter the pool at Cruiser
Grogory Drozd is 31-1 (23). With his only loss coming by 5th round KO to Firat Arslan back in ’06. His most recent win was a 7th round KO over Rob Calloway (70-8-2) where he put Calloway down 8 times. Holds a decision over Michael Simms & a KO over veteran Saul Montana, as well as wins over a host of other 2nd to 3rd tier fighters.
Darnell Wilson is 23-8 (20). He has lost 3 of his last 5 all by decision. Ehinomen Ehikhamenor won in 5 on The Contender Season 4 & Firat Arslan & BJ Flores won by 12 round decisions. Previous to that he was on an impressive 4 fight KO streak which started with Daniel Judah (KO4), then Dale Brown (KO2), followed by Kelvin Davis (KO3) & finally Emmanuel Nwodo (KO11). Has also fought the likes of Felix Cora Jr. (L10), Owen Beck ( L8 ), Vadim Tokarev (L10), George Khalid Jones (D10) & James Lubwama (D10).

I vote that the winner of Yoshimitsu Yashiro/ Takashi Miura on 4th of July is for the vacant 9th spot at 130
Yoshimitsu Yashiro is 21-0-1 (12), has been matched mainly against opponents with winning records. His most recent fight was a January ’09 draw with Miura who entered at 15-1, which lead to this immediate return.
Takashi Miura’s only loss was a decision to Yusuke Kobori in ’07 who went on the win an alphabet trinket. Opposition has been questionable but many thought he deserved a win rather than a draw against Yashiro.
I vote that the winner of Kohei Ohba/ Akira Umano on the 5th of July should enter the pool at 118
Kohei Ohba is 24-0 (10). The 24 year old holds the Japanese national bantamweight title. The biggest name on his record is Malcolm Tunacao (19-1-2 entering) whom he fought to a draw in ’06. His last 7 opponents have had winning records.
Akira Umano is 10-2 (6) with his 2 loses coming by majority & split decisions. His opponents have been nothing outstanding but only 4 have had losing records. He has scored stoppages in his last three fights.

I vote that the winner of Sasha Bakhtin/ Richard Samosir on the 5th of July should enter the pool at 118
Sasha Bakhtin is 22-0 (9). Is an accomplished amateur. The Japanese based Russian holds wins over Gerson Guerrero (W10) & Hidenobu Honda (KO7) as well as a host of other solid fighters. He won the vacant Japanese bantamweight title in only his 7th fight with a 7th round KO over Yuji Nukaga (14-1 entering) & made 9 defences before relinquishing it to pursue bigger things. He won the vacant OPBF bantamweight title in his last fight.
Richard Samosir is 18-1-3 (7). The 25 year old is the Indonesian bantamweight titleholder.

The Best There Is, The Best There Was, The Best There Ever Will Be
I vote that the winner of Grigory Drozd/ Darnell Wilson on the 2nd July should enter the pool at Cruiser
Agree on Drozd disagree on Wilson// Darnell is too inconsistant
I vote that the winner of Yoshimitsu Yashiro/ Takashi Miura on 4th of July is for the vacant 9th spot at 130
Agreed
I vote that the winner of Sasha Bakhtin/ Richard Samosir on the 5th of July should enter the pool at 118
Agreed
Votes for this week:
How far does Alexander Dimitrenko (currently 9th) fall? I vote he drops 2 spots into the pool as he was pretty much dominated.
I vote that the winner of Shawn George/ Chris Henry on the 10th of July enters the pool at 175.
Most of us should be pretty familiar with these 2 guys but heres a brief just in case:
Shaun George is 18-2 (9). He is best known for dominant 9th round KO over Chris Byrd. His most recent win was a 1st round blowout over respectable Jaffa Ballogou (46-7). He also holds a 8th round decision win over Richard Hall (27-6). He lost over 12 to Alexander Gurov (38-5-1) in ’07 & was stopped in 1 by Matt Godfrey in ’06.
Chris Henry is 23-2 ( 18 ). He most recently lost a split decision to Yusef Mack in February. His other loss was to Adrian Diaconu also over 12. His opposition other than those two leaves a lot to be desired with Ruben Williams (29-4-1) being the most well known, who he KO’d in 6. Has fought many 3rd tier types like Derrick James (20-6-1, KO6), Rafael Pedro (20-5-1, W10), Max Heyman (22-9-4, KO2) & veteran journeyman Etianne Whitaker (32-19-2, KO8 ).

There are 2 upcoming fights that could possibly qualify for the vacant 10th spot at lightweight
Number 1:
Antonio DeMarco/ Anges Adaho on 11 July.
Antonio DeMarco is 21-1 (15). His most recent win was a 9th round stoppage of Kid Diamond. He also holds wins over solid Jose Reyes & the once promising Nick Casal. Only loss was a by majority decision over 6 back in ’06.
Anges Adaho is 25-1 (14) his only lost coming by split decision to Miguel Acosta (20-3-2 at the time) who hasn’t lost since ’03 and is now on a 16 fight win streak albeit over limited opposition. Has not fought any quality opposition by his most recent win was an 8th round UD over Fernando Angulo who is set to meet Yuri Romanov.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-fL2SAGQ80
Number 2:
The winner of Breidis Prescott/ (possibly Ray Narh)
Breidis Prescott is 21-0 ( 18 ). Best known for his 1st round destruction upset of Amir Khan (18-0). His most recent win was a 10th round disqualification of Humberto Toledo (34-5-2) when he was bitten on the shoulder. Before the Khan fight he won a split decision over previously unbeaten Cuban Richard Abril (10-0). He also stopped Jose Agustin Feria in the 9th (11-0-1 entering) in September of ‘07.
Ray Narh is 22-1 (19). His biggest win was over the previously undefeated Ramazan Palyani (14-0-1 at the time) in ’06 who was ranked #10 by Ring Magazine going into the fight. His only loss came by 1st round KO to Almazbek ‘Kid Diamond’ Raiymkulov (15-0 entering) back in ’04. It was only hi 8th fight. Since then has won 12 straight including wins over solid opponents including Steve Quinonez ( W8 ), Frank Houghtaling (KO4), Luis Bolano (KO1) & Francisco Campos (KO2).

I vote that if Breidis Prescott fights on that date it is for the vacant position. If for some reason he doesn’t fight then the DeMarco/ Adaho should fill the spot, as Adaho has already beaten Romanov’s opponent.
Also with Maywerather/ Marquez postponed did we want to make the winner of Jackson Bonsu/ Selcuk Aydin on 11 July for the vacant 10th position at 147
Jackson Bonsu is 30-2 (23). His most recent win was a majority decision over former welterweight champion Carlos Baldomir in December ‘08. He was surprisingly upset by 12 round unanimous decision to Rafal Jackiewicz (31-8-1 entering) in September ’08. Has fought a number of opponents with good records but has yet to face anyone elite yet.
Selcuk Aydin is 18-0 (14). Hailing from Turkey this German based fighter goes by the nickname ‘Mini-Tyson’. His most recent win was a split decision over Said Ouali (25-2) in April. Also holds a win over veteran Lucky Lewele (25-4) over 12 from April ’08. Has yet to face anyone near top ten level yet but has been racking up KO’s over 2nd to 3rd tier foes.

The Best There Is, The Best There Was, The Best There Ever Will Be
Been negligent here.Demarco/Adaho fight for me fills the light spot.I dont even see Demarco in the pool though ? I know he was voted in.Also Antillon is ranked at jr light and light.
Agree on 2 spot fall for Dimitrenko.I also think we might want to consider a vote to fill one of those vacant spots at Heavy.Just seems odd to have Haye ranked top ten and Arreola floating in the pool
Definitely George vs. Henry winner into the pool. Also love the footage Galaxy.Top notch effort and execution chief
This upcoming fight for DeMarco was the one we voted to enter the pool but I felt it was worthy of a vote for the vacancy...
After September Antillon will be removed from 130 as he would have been inactive at that weight for over a year by then
As soon as Arreola or Botstov have another fight they will fill the vacancies unless better fights are made...
The Best There Is, The Best There Was, The Best There Ever Will Be
Dimitrenko into the pool.
George/Henry for pool entry
Prescott for 10th spot.
I feel that Bonsu does deserve a spot, he was the victim of a shocking hometown robbery vs Jackiewicz, however, the winner of Mayweather vs Marquez is far more deserving of the spot.
I would like to raise some misgivings over the rankings once all the business is taken care of.

The Best There Is, The Best There Was, The Best There Ever Will Be
Votes for this week:
How far does Khoren Gevor (currently 5th) fall? 0-3 spots? I vote he drops one spot, as he was competitive throughout.
How far does Jorge Solis (currently 4th) drop? 1-3 spots? I vote he drops 3 spots as he was beaten unanimously by our current #8 (now 4th).
Kevin Mitchell is supposed to be fighting on the 18th of July, with Valero being removed from the 130 pound ratings I think Mitchell’s fight should qualify for the vacant 10th spot.
Joachim Alcine needs to come out of the pool at 154, as his last fight was the 11th of July ’08
Daniel Santos currently 8th at 154 needs to drop to the pool, as his last fight was The 11th of July ’08
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Can we get some more votes on DeMarco/ Prescott for the 10th position at 135 as Prescott is fighting this weekend: Demarco just scored a 9th KO over Anges Adjaho this weekend (which was originally voted as a pool entry match). Precott currently in the pool is fighting against Miguel Vazquez 24-3 (12) on the 17th of July
DeMarco: 1 Spicoli,
Prescott: 2 (+1) Galaxy*, Jazmerkin
