I hadn't seen Dirrell fight before but wow this guy can box. That's right BOX, in the sport of BOXING. Not fucking standing infront of your opponent like a retard hoping to get a knockout which is what Froch has tried to do now in his last 3 fights. The only props I could give Froch in this fight were his incredible fitness - to stay in and force the fight for 12 rounds despite throwing punches and getting caught constantly with flashy counters and an effective jab he still looked dangerous until the final bell. He also showed good sportsmanship by showing Dirrell respect by waiting for the judges verdict post fight.
I accept that Dirrell held a little too much, but given the type of fighter he was facing who is dangerous on the inside who can blame him?. Anyway, from what I saw it resulted in Dirrell holding because Froch was throwing big swinging hooks which ended up missing and then getting too close for comfort. Dirrell should've had more confidence in his chin and his own power because he clearly hurt Froch in the 11th which was the only time either fighter was hurt.
Here's my take on the fight:
Round 1: 9 - 10 Dirrell
Round 2: 9 - 10 Dirrell
Round 3: 9 - 10 Dirrell
Round 4: 9 - 10 Dirrell
Round 5: 9 - 10 Dirrell
Round 6: 9 - 10 Dirrell
Round 7: 10 - 9 Froch
Round 8: 10 - 9 Froch
Round 9: 9 - 10 Dirrell
Round 10: 9 - 9 DRAW (for the crap point deduction and the fact Dirrell otherwise won this round)
Round 11: 9 - 10 Dirrell
Round 12: 9 - 10 Dirrell
Dirrel wins in my book 117 - 110
Had any other decent ref oversaw this fight Froch would've been deducted a point aswell - you could argue either for the throw to the floor in round 5, the constant punching after the break or the hitting around the back of the head. Dirty fucker. Almost as dirty as his slag of a girlfriend for the "he's fighting like a faget" comment. She clearly knows her boxing doesn't she.
I'd send this bollocks off to Don King and he'll make sure you're judging one of his fighters next bouts.
You do a commercial and you're off the artistic roll call... forever
